Integrating Samba into a Database and configured for OpenVPN
...ll. Instead of me required to create actual users on my system and then disabling SSH access. I would like to be able to add users via MySQL and indicate that they are VPN users and should have limited access. For me, this is a learning process and I do not expect detailed instructions in how to acomplish this. I would just like guidance (web sites would be great) that would help me acomplish this goal. What I do NOT want to do is have to setup two seperate instances of Samba, 1 for the VPN and 1 for the rest of the network. -Jesse

Can I use IP addresses from one IP network (say 10.0.0.0/24) to assign to the 2 LAN ports on the CentOS server and a port on each of the GbE switches and then use something like OSPF on the switches and the CentOS box to do the routing? Any other ideas? Many thanks for your suggestions. Reg...

Help Connecting server districts
...to a central location at our isd. This provides connectivity to all the districts. 1. would it be wiser to install a asterisk box at the central location of the ISD and have all asterisk boxes register with that? or would it be better to create a mesh- network of registrations. If so can this be acomplished easily using iax or dundi? What would be the best way to link all of these boxes together so that from any location they can call each other using simple extenion headers such as _10xxx for district 1, and _11xxx for distrct two and make that conssistant? log axis assignment
Hi again, another problem: This (below) isn't working and as far as I can see it damn well should. What I'm trying to acomplish is to run several data sets through the same graphing procedure, but for the pH data use a log y axis. using this code all graphs are drawn with a linear axis. Surely I should be able to set the ylog option to T using another object (logaxis). for (n in colnames(raw)) { if(n=="pH"){lo...

optimizing traffic to a web server
Hi, I have a Linux server and provide Internet access in the neighborhood and I also run a web server on the same machine. Although our external connection is not bad, the access to the web server from outside is awful - the web pages always require "Try again" when accessed. Do you think I can prioritize the traffic to the web server? How? I have a traffic shaper of the internal and

As you can see from the diagram the employees and users table looks identical. Is this something that I can acomplish with singe table inheritance, thus creating a model for employees and one for users? Also is my Active record text correct in your opinion? I would like to be able to do things like: client = Client.find(params[:id]) client.get_all_active_tickets user = User.find(params[:id]) user.get_all_tick...

Sip profiles per customer, behind a SIP proxy. How?
...ut replacing the From with a customer ID, and for those customers that use the FROM to signal caller id, to copy it over the PAI header at the SIP proxy. I don't know if overwriting the FROM would cause any problem with the SIP clients behind the proxy. Is there any better or different way to acomplish this? I would say we should have some flexibility although we have a SIP proxy as the source IP for all of our traffic. Robert -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... I mean, how to 'copy' it from R 1.8.1 and 'paste' it in R 1.4.1? 2 - The AGREP function doesn't give me the Levenshtein distance (edit distance). Is there a function in R that does it? Is there a way to use AGREP to acomplish this task? I've written such a function, but it is so slow (has so many loops) that it is beeing useless. TIA
