Trouble with Realtime
Greetings, I'm having some trouble with the realtime engines. When asterisk loads, everything looks fine, there don't seem to be any problems via notices or anything. Furthermore, cdr_odbc is working, and actively logging my failed call attempts to db through ODBC using the same DSN. unixODBC and the mysql drivers are installed from source. Here are the relevant parts of the config:

Answering Machine Detection
If i use AMD() or the code below, now the problem is the fax machine/modem detection and answer machine detection get detected as the same. If i need to seperate the two how do i do that? For example, if i use AMD() to detect an answer machine by saying any greeting exceeding 2.5 seconds is a machine, how do i distinguish between a fax/modem and a long greeting? ---- dave cantera

Answering Machine Detection
I am having a bit of a problem getting AMD to work on a new server. On my regular office server it works like a charm. I am running Asterisk 1.4.13, Zaptel 1.4.5.1 on both machines. Both servers run CentOS 5 and I am using a SIP trunk to send out calls (the same one on both servers). Here is the output of a call on my office server: -- Attempting call on Local/0445540881644 at CC2 for

TomTom Home
...e that is automatically put into the c:\windows\temp folder. It use the same method of toc/cab files however this happens automatically and when the app can't find the cab it then deletes them from C:\windows\temp. The workaround is to copy the toc and cab file out of the temp folder before acknowleging the error, then edit the toc and install as if it was a update. This is slightly more frustrating. If the application can find the file when <Location>file://z:\TomTom\HOME\Downloads\navcore_6.52.7690.go-rider-one.cab</Location> is used why doesn't; <Location>file:///C:/Do...

More on"Callprogress"
Here is some more stuff to add to the confusion about the "callprogress" option. I currently have my * system operating with a T100P talking to an ADTRAN TSU600 channel bank with 8 FXO ports connecting to the outside world and Grandstream SIP phones as handset extensions. At first I naively set "callprogress=yes" in zapata.conf. The results were typical of what many

Hello Tom, I am not sure if you can help with this but I am at my wits end. If you hit this site and do a force refresh (ctrl + F5) the site will time out and lose connections. Do the same on port 443 and it does not time out??? The web site I am reffering to is www.tituswill.com I think the only problem is port 80. Do you have any idea how to diagnose this I have sent a dump of just

Paypal and Rails
Hello everyone, I am looking for a way to pass off a simple payment to paypal using our own interface. I understand that this requires making full use of Paypal''s API since we won''t be using their shopping cart or anything. I found the article by Pranav Bihari on his site and in the Wiki on using SOAP4R and the paypal WSDL file to interface with paypal web services, but I

PXE EFI booting - 2 issues!
Hi, background: I've managed to get EFI32, EFI64 and 'BIOS' modes all booting & working from the same TFTP/DHCP server using the setup described in message #10 here: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=720589#10 I'm running this inside VMWare 9 - switching between x86 and x86_64 to check both EFI32 and EFI64, and then another non efi VM for bios. issue #1: I can

It's only a waste of time if your workflow is entirely synchronous with patch review. Most of us have a number of things that we can work on, so letting a patch chill for a while on the list isn't a big deal

DTMF not sending properly via IAX
I'm not sure if this is a -users or a -dev question, since the answer probably comes down to something in the code. I'm running the latest CVS-STABLE, and am subscribed to PSTN service using IAX2 via Voiptalk in the UK. I've just been alerted by a customer that the sending of DTMF from my asterisk box to a remote PSTN user doesn't work, although it used to. To test it, I have

Changes in the survival package (long)
The latest version of the survival package has two important additions. In prior code the call coxph(Surv(time, status) ~ age + strata(inst), data=lung) could fail if a version of either Surv() or strata() existed elsewhere on the search path; the wrong function could be picked up. Second, a model with survival::strata(inst) in the formula would not do what users expect. These

RED/GRED implementation for InBound Traffic Control (from ISP)
Hi all, Can anyone show me pointers on how to get this implemented on a Linux box with tc rules? I also want to know, just how efficient is this Algorithm. AFAIK, inbound traffic control can''t really be achieved without losing bandwidth. In some of the howtos'' I''ve read, one guy had to limit his downspeed to 1/2 his bandwidth to actually control it. And he was saying
