Yum repomd.xml error
...repodata/repomd.xml from dag: [Errno 256] No more mirrors
to try.
Has anyone else received this error? Did I perhaps miss an
announcement? I looked about the list, but nothing regarding this
was apparent to me.
TIA

yum repository for Mplayer and Codecs?
Good morning,
I've looked around a bit for a yum repository
for Mplayer with all of the codecs. Does anyone
know of a repository? (I admit I'm being a little
lazy this morning :) ).
Thanks!

OpenOffice Conversion
...back and saving each individual
file as a Word document seems excessive. Does anyone know of a
conversion tool that is native to linux (preferrably) that could do
this? Or even a Windows app would suffice truly.
TIA

How do point releases work?
I'm new to RHEL-like distros.
When, say, CentOS 4.1 is released, will it simply be CentOS 4.0 + released
updates in new ISO images? Or is it more than just the updated packages
integrated into the full distribution?
Put another way, if my 4.0 installation is kept up to date with YUM, will
I basically have a 4.1 installation?
Thanks.

New to CentOS, is this a safe bet?
I know this may be a stupid place to ask, but I have to ask. I'm looking
for a new Linux distro to use and support. I've been a loyal purchaser
of SuSE Linux Pro for the last 3 years. I've paid my $90 loyally, in
part because I wanted money to actually go to someone working on OSS,
but also because I thought it was a good bargain, to get a quality,
tested distro for that cost.
