ACL bug FIXes for get_nt_acl()
Two attached patches for samba 2.2.7a and 3.0-alfa22, that I've made today, fix 3 bugs mentioned in my previous e-mail. 1) For each file in addition to ALLOW ACE proper DENY ACE is created. 2) "Take ownership" is shown DENIED for all except root ACEs 3) Read Permissions and read attributes are always shown as allowed, as they are actually allowed. -- Zhitomirsky Sergey.

POSIX permission bits, ACEs, and inheritance confusion
...ACE inheritance works. I''ve read through http://opensolaris.org/os/community/zfs/docs/zfsadmin.pdf but it doesn''t seem to cover what I am experiencing. The ZFS file system that I am working on has both aclmode and aclinherit set to passthrough, which I thought would result in the ACEs being just that - passed through without modification. In my test scenario, I am creating a folder, removing all ACEs and adding a single full access allow ACE with file and directory inheritance for one user: > mkdir test > chmod A=user:root:rwxpdDaARWcCos:fd----:allow test Permission che...

ace () - again
Dear all, I am still trying to find out what goes wrong when I use ace (I get an 'NAs in foreign fuction call (arg3)' but when I go through it with debug there seem no data to be missing). I had some errors (see at end of message) while installing 'acepack'. Do you think it is possible that these lead to the fact, that simple problems run ok but larger problems result in an

number of aces in big endian format?
Hello, Not exactly samba but related to ntfs acls, so hope do not get flamed! Recently I am seeing a response to get security descriptor query to Windows server as Malformed Packet in wireshark trace and the number of aces in the dacl in big endian format. I thought all the data over the wire was in little endian format! I have seen this on Windows XP and Windows Server 2003. Have not intentionally installed any patches on either. This is causing grief to linux cifs client in acl code, when I parse the dacl, sudde...

idea for (further) debugging ace ()?
Dear all, I am trying to use ace on a 446 x 14 Matrix, with two categorical variables in the first two columns. If I try to run it I get: > aceiH <- ace (data.mat, resp, cat= 1:length(x.cat)) Error: NAs in foreign function call (arg 3) There is only one .Fortran call in ace () with the third argument being x = t(x). Thus I tried to debug ace, i.e. I went through ace until just before

Using ACE in the ape package
Having a problem running the ace command in ape. After reading my table into R and then putting the names of the rows in the table in same order as the tree I can't get ace to run and get the message Erreur dans as.matrix(x) : dims [produit 25] ne correspond pas ? la longueur de l'objet [0] This is the command I am using and each of the vectors used in the snalysis.

avas and ace
Hi, Does any one know how we can decide on the correct transformation in (avas and ace) after having drawn the graphs y,g(y) x ,s(x) and g(y) ,s(x) . Is it possible by only looking at patterns the graphs follow for example when y ,g(y) shows a logaritmic pattern can we say that log transform on y is suitable? Thanks for your help. map two names into one
Dear R user: I have got the following problem: I have imported two data sets into R: one set includes price information, another one includes volume information. but I noticed the wrong data order problem in the product name, for instance, in one data set, "GALAXY ACE S 5830" in another one, it is "S 5830 GALAXY ACE" both represent same product. how do i map two name

Predicting responses using ace
Hello everybody, I'm a new user of R and I'm working right now with the ACE function from the acepack library. I Have a question: Is there a way to predict new responses using ACE? What I mean is doing something similar to the following code that uses PPR (Projection Pursuit Regression): library(MASS) x <- runif(20, 0, 1) xnew <- runif(2000, 0, 1) y <- sin(x) a <- ppr(x, y,

[LLVMdev] How can I modify Clang/LLVM build system?
Hello, I want to state my question again because I think the question I wrote was vague or not clear. I'd like to know - on which file I need to work, and - on which part of the file I need to modify - to add a path for 3rd party(ACE) header files, - to add a path for my custom header files, - to add a path for 3rd party(ACE) Library, - to define a Macro, and - to specify a 3rd party(ACE)

does any package have the functionality of ace() from old acepack?
I found the old ace function (from acepack) valuable a couple of years ago in helping to find a transformation of the response to approximate additivity in smooth functions of the predictors. ace used alternating conditional expectations, but I'm not overly fixated on algorithms as long as it works pretty well. Is there another package that has that sort of functionality? I haven't been
