CNAM lookup: new method for Caller ID Name delivery
...means that all
you see is the caller ID number, but no name. Most PSTN lines these
days (if they are enabled with Caller ID) will also include a caller
ID name. So, you'd think that a well-configured Asterisk server
should somehow be able to deliver the same data, right?
A company called Accudata has come up with an IP-based CNAM lookup
tool. It's an HTTPS delivery method, with what I assume is XML as
the specification language. The nice part is that it really doesn't
matter what the backend looks like - Accudata has built app_getcnam
that automatically takes the 10 digit NANP...

CNAM for Asterisk
I am working for Accudata Technologies. We
provide CNAM via http request or raw TCP/IP connection.
We would like to provide the same capability to Asterisk. I installed
Asterisk on Fedora 2.0
and did reading about AGI and AGI application at

Question with email notification
I have been searching all over for the answer on all sources online and
have come to the conclusion that it must be rudimentary or I am asking
the wrong question.
I cannot figure out how to configure the box to set the "from" address
to a correct domain, as my outgoing isp will not pass mail from
root@asterisk1.local, as I expect it wouldn't.
Any help is appreciated, even just
