[PATCH] vtd: Define a struct IO_xAPIC_route_entry to accommodate both ioapic and iosapic
The patch makes some pci access functions architecture independent. It only moves the 2 functions from xen/arch/x86/pci.c to xen/drivers/pci/pci.c. Improved Data Aggregation and Summary Statistics in R
Dear Developers, Having spent time developing and thinking about how data aggregation and summary statistics can be enhanced in R, I would like to present my ideas/efforts in the form of two commands: The first, which for now I called 'collap', is an upgrade of aggregate that accommodates and extends the functionality of aggregate in various respects, most importantly to work with multilevel and multi-type data, multiple function calls, highly customized aggregation tasks, a much greater flexibility in the passing of inputs and tidy output. The second function, 'qsu', is a...

Modelling poisson distribution with variance structure
I'm dealing with count data that's nested and has spatial dependence. I ran a glmm in lmer with a random factor for nestedness. Spatial dependence seems to have been accommodated by model. However I can't add a variance strcuture to this model (to accommodate heterogeneity). Is there a model that can have a poisson distribution *AND* a variance structure *AND* have AIC in output (for model comparison and selection)? Some we've looked at that can't: - glmm...

Can someone recommend a package for SNP cluster analysis of Fluidigm microarrays?
...am facing is finding a package that will not incorporate all my samples into clusters but just the samples that fit a threshold (that I have not set yet and may need help finding the right level) for genotyping. It should be able to "no call" samples outside the clusters. It also needs to accommodate a negative control sample by not including it in any genotype cluster. I'm looking at both nuclear and mitochondrial DNA so hopefully it can be sophisticated enough to set the number of cluster between two or three within the array. These genotyping arrays are either 48 samples x 48 assays, 9...

Purpose of "Status" header in HTTP responses?
Hi folks On line #63 of unicorn/http_response.rb a "Status" header is written to the socket. A comment in the code explains that some broken clients require this header and unicorn generously accommodates them. We?re having the opposite problem. One of our clients using Microsoft Windows and ASP haven?t been able to connect to our HTTP API since we moved it to unicorn from passenger. They receive the following error message when they try to connect to our servers: msxml3.dll error ''800...

[Sieve] Multiple email recipients, how?
...the OP it seems that they separate mail for different users not at the MTA level, but at at the user level using sieve. That seems very inefficient to me. There are nice tricks you can do with virtual alias maps and pcre within postfix to split email to specific user accounts, which could also accommodate other alias schemes than standard subaddressing (such as yours). Kind regards, Tom

Backup Tape
...erver. I already have a SCSI HP Dat drive I can install in the server but need some easy to use software to back my files. It would need to be able to keep all the file security and ACL info so if I need to restore any files, no further configuration is required. Would I need a backup solution that accommodates samba? If so, any recommendations on what software to use. I only have 10 users and my current Novell server is only at 15gb so we don't have a heavily used server. Has anyone else made the transition from Netware to Linux? In terms of administration, is their anything else I need to look out...

Extract vowels and consonants using Ruby Regex
...he String class: class String def vowels scan(/[aeiou]/i) end def consonants scan(/[^aeiou]/i) end end examples: >> "Mary had a little lamb".vowels => aaaiea >> "Mary had a little lamb".consonants => mryhdlttllmb However, the regex does not accommodate the conditional treatment of ''y'' as a vowel *if there is no other vowel before or after it.* If properly implemented, the previous examples would return: ayaaiea (vowels) and mrhdlttllmb (consonants). According to this post (http://www.perlmonks.org/?node_id=592867), this could...

repost - Can one edit the file that generates the scaffolding.css?
I am reposting this because not only am I VERY interested in the answer but because I think it would also be useful to many, many people. We kind of have a house-style here, so it would be nice if the generated scaffold.css would accommodate that. My questions are? Is it possible? Is it safe? How? bruce

[LLVMdev] [Frustration] API breakage
...ipermail/llvm-commits/Week-of-Mon-20110711/123990.html Thanks. But what about the API changes related to the new type system (OpaqueType gone, etc.)? Is that documented somewhere? Shouldn't it be in the release notes as well? I'd really appreciate some hints on how to migrate sources to accommodate these changes.
