ggplot2-Issue placing error bars behind data points
Hi all,
This seems like a basic problem, but no amount of playing with the code has
solved it. I have a time-series data set like that shown below (only longer)
and am seeking to plot the data with filled, circular points and error bars.
I would like the error bars to be behind the points otherwise they tend to
obscure the points (especially when I have a lot of points in the actual
data set).

nested factorial effects in a lme model
Hi.
I would like to run a mixed effects model, but there's one aspect of
the model that I don't know how to code. My goal is to analyze data
from an experiment in which I tested the swimming performance (i.e.,
Umax) of two species of fish from 4 different lakes (a sample of the
data is below). Each fish was tested when it was rested and when it
was tired, and each test was

Growth rate determination using ANCOVA
...t and aren't
going to change much if we stop measuring. This is an important cost
saving practice too as measurements can go on for years. Yet I'm
worried that our null and alternative hypotheses should be swapped so
that our test is more conservative (Ho=slopes are different ... ie
still acclimating.)
Is there a way to specify my model that flips these hypotheses?
Should I be using a different method? Is this even appropriate?
2) Growth Rate is confounded with Variance of Growth Rate
I'm also worried about the fact that rates for cultures with faster
growth are calculated using fewe...

auto 'modprobe wct1xxp' on startup?
Hi guys,
Thanks for your answers on my two questions yesterday. That's exactly
what I was looking for, sorry for not noticing it myself, but I'm still
getting acclimated to Asterisk and even Linux--from what I see so far, I
love it.
I've got another one now. Since my Asterisk install and configuration
is fairly stable at this point, I'm interested it ensuring that during

Mappery breakthrough : Garmin topo, vista, rino, under linux & CXO
As most of you know, I've been trying to make GPSs and topo
maps usable under Fedora Core 4 linux, using CrossoverOfficePro (CXO)
5.0.1.
I've belabored nine or ten specialized lists for six or eight
weeks, parcelling out pieces of the problem wherever I hoped they
might arouse interest and knowledge. I've gotten invaluable help and
encouragement from all of them, on the lists

how to configure linux in production line
I am new in linux world, basically I''m using red hat 9
kernel 2.4.20-8. I need to build a trusted gateway. my
linux box will be the gateway for several machine PCs
to go to the desired server. there will be several
subnets under the linux box, I''ve already assigned
static IPs for the PCs . Now my problem is I only need
2 PCs from each subnets to connect to certain servers,

Getting elements from a web page
I am new to Mechanize and was wondering if there was a built-in method
to get the elements that are on the page that are not part of a form.
A couple of examples would be my banking site lists my entries and I
want them to go into an array so that I can handle them.
Or another site I use, does some categorization for me and I would like
to manipulate it and present it differently to a user.

How many (htb) tc classes and qdiscs are too many?
We have a Linux box that is acting as the gateway to the internet for about
400 people, typically there are not more then 50 of them using the internet
at any given time. We would like to provide different levels of access to
different users. For example 128kbps to some users and 256kbps to others.
We have considered creating a class and qdisc for each user (using htb)
however we don''t

I just wanted to drop a line to thank you for Samba. I've spent the
afternoon acclimating myself to it and can hardly believe how well
documented this free software is. Over the years, GPL software has been
something of trial-n-error between the compiling and the
configuration. I'm in awe! :)
