Problems with access-rights :)
...rs user1 that is member of All and pubadmin user2 that is member of All and kituser When i use the above configuration user2 can write to pub and to pub/kit How can i change it. What i wan't is that the sambaserver can write to every dirs but that i can give the accessrights with red/write list. Thanks for your help! Best regards, Kai.

Exporting samba mount via NFS
Perhaps I'm trying to do something that is not allowed, but I have found no such restriction in the documentation. To limit the contact of my Linux boxes with the "products of Bill & Co.", I have mounted a Windows share on my Linux server. deleting symlinks only
hello list, is it possible to delete a symlinked directory over a samba-share, without deleting it's content but leaving the link-target as it is and deleting the symlink only? If I interpret samba's behaviour correctly, on deletion samba does not recognize the link as a link but as a directory, descends into it and deletes the content recursively, finally tries to delete the directory

vpopmail over NFS not seeing new messages.
Hi all. We've just migrated our back-end NFS mailstore from FC1 systems to CentOS4 and are experiencing problems/delays with vpopmail and user Maildirs. IMAP is fine, it's just POP access that causes us problems. Now, NFS mounts successfully, the clients can see /home/vpopmail and serve content as we would expect. Starting a process from a windows client
I am hoping to run a Unix process from code running on a windows client, I am told this can be done using Samba, does any one have any example code to do this?
