A general question on this: does enabling locking for all the handle operation cause any noticeable performance issue in single-thread handle usages? http://winehq.org/?issue=346 WWN is a summary of the dev mailing list. It's well worth keeping up with, even if it's technically abstruse at times. - d.

Fwd: SER as a Session Border Controller
I am curious if it is advisable to use implement Asterisk as a Session Border Controller for a VoIP reseller environment. Users will terminate calls SIP to my server, which will authenticate them via RADIUS, perform a LCR lookup, select an appropriate trunk (based on LCR), and terminate the call (update RADIUS accounting at end of call). All while acting as a B2BUA to prevent the users from seeing

[PATCH v3 0/5] threads: Add support for thread-safe handle.
...e same as before. I also ran all the tests, which pass. As with the previous versions, this makes a change to the API, where you can no longer pass a handle between threads and expect guestfs_last_error() to work. Yager on ZFS
Not sure if it''s been posted yet, my email is currently down... http://weblog.infoworld.com/yager/archives/2007/10/suns_zfs_is_clo.html Interesting piece. This is the second post from Yager that shows solaris in a pretty good light. I particularly like his closing comment: "If you haven''t checked out ZFS yet, do, because it will eventually become ubiquitously implemented
