Outlook dialing
The bar is getting raised yet again http://www.voipmonitor.net/2007/06/05/New+Features+And+Services+For+Pack et8+Virtual+Office.aspx I personally use Snapanumber $30 or there abouts (after trialing a few other TAPI solutions and finding them sub-par) and think it's a great product but interesting to see how more people are expecting desktop/phone integration applications. Does anyone else have a favorite Outlook autodial application they use and love? Reg...

I haven't looked at FreeBSD since the 1990's or there abouts, but I'll give it a look. I'm also looking at lubuntu, but was hoping that there was a lcentos. We tend to like what we're used to. SSL Certificate Authentication

My certificate was securely generated on a smart card and is passphrase protected so I would like to stop having to enter my certificate passphrase and my user password to collect my mail. Where abouts in the config file can I resolve this issue? Cheers, Tony Davies

Jazz drive
Hi We setup a server the other day for a client, and it has a 35gig jazz drive in it. Centos 4.2 recognizes it as a cd disk. How would I go abouts getting it to read and write to it? When I click on the cd-rom disc icon it loads up cd/dvd creator. Shouldn't it just recognize it as an external drive? Thanks

sshd executes ~/.ssh/sshrc without using user's shell
...ve modifed to only allow a '-c' command for the sftp-server. I have also disabled TCP port forwarding. However, some reading of the OpenSSH code suggests that, while most commands sshd excutes use the users login shell, the popen call for .ssh/sshrc does not. (session.c:1342 and there-abouts). Is this an issue? Or do I have bigger things to worry about? Thanks, Andrew Bartlett -- Andrew Bartlett abartlet at pcug.org.au

Login script doesn't run
Hi, The login script has worked for our win98 computers since the dawn of time (or there abouts). Then something happened or I did something and the login script doesn't run anymore. I can run it manually. This was version 2.2.3a. I started smbd with -d10 and didn't see any call for a script. Is the login script mentioned in a working system? In an effort to fix this, I deleted...

applaud.wav sounds worse in 1.0?
...for RC3 I found that most samples where pretty transparent around the 3.5-4 region (my ears aren't that well trained, and I don't want them to be :-), but this time I noticed that applaud.wav[1] seems to have a lot of conspicuous static-like noise in it, all the way up to -q 6 or there abouts - I could ABX out to 5, before I gave up and went to bed. I just compared RC3 output with 1.0 and I could easily spot that 1.0 was sounding worse at -q 4, and I could probably ABX the two at 5 or even 6 (RC3 sounds pretty clear at both, to me). What do other people think? John [1] http://la...

AJAX - how to have multiple select form sets implemented?

I have tried reading up some rails books and cookbooks to no success. Please help!! :) thanks

NFS versus Fuse file locking problem (NFS works, fuse doesn't...)
...They export several volumes. - The network is 10GB, switched. - A "recording server" which subscribes to multi cast video streams, and records them to disk. The recorder writes the streams in 10s blocks, so when it is for example recording 50 streams it is creating 5 files a second, each about 5M. it uses a write-then-rename process. I simulated that with a small script, that wrote 5M files and renamed them as fast as it could, and could easily create around 100 files/s (which abouts saturates the network). So I think the cluster is up to the task. However if we try the actualy workloa...

ipfw core dump
Hi, This is the first time I've come across this: pid 11415 (ipfw), uid 0: exited on signal 11 (core dumped) The core dump landed in root's home directory in one of my jails. Has anyone seen this before? Should I be concerned? chkrootkit says nothing. (How trustworthy is its output? ;-) Thanks. Cheers. -- Ng Pheng Siong <ngps@netmemetic.com> http://firewall.rulemaker.net

RFC: Move the test-suite LLVM project to GitHub?
My biggest concerns and care-abouts are largely what Matthias expressed below. Most of them have been addressed already further down the thread. I hope that the move to github in practice would mean that the only difference is that I 'git clone https://github...' instead of 'git clone http://llvm.org/git/test-suite.g...

Problem installing on Mac OSX
...rror like this one? The main problem I see with languages and scripts like Ruby on Rails, PHP, etc. is that they will never be distributable to everyone who really needs them because the task of installing the underlying application is so daunting. Any discussion in the open source community about solving that problem? -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.
