Ordering boxplot factors
Hi all,
what a great help list! I hope someone can help me with this puzzle...
I'm trying to find a simple way to do:
boxplot(obs~factor)
so that the factors are ordered left-to-right along the x-axis by
median, not alphabetically by factor name.
Complicated ways abound, but I'm hoping for a magical one-liner that'll
do the trick.
Any suggestions would be treasured.
Thanks,
-jlb

Arabic is the national language, do I pick one in specific or is there some

I'd hazard the same thing applies for Spanish (Latin countries and Spain)
amongst other languages that abound this rapidly browning Earth.

navigation mode(s) in rgl
Hello, I've CCd' Duncan Murdoch as the rgl maintainer, but I'm also keen to
hear from the broader community of any insights.
In rgl my understanding is that there's only one rotation-navigation mode,
where you left-click hold and the view pivots abound the centre of the
scene.
In other tools, including Google Earth, that is the default behaviour but
there's also a click-centric mode where the view pivots about the point
clicked on.
I haven't found the right terminology for this, but I call it
1) Data-centric navigation, rotating about...

No, it's not going to give out duplicate IPs. The dual servers are

encoding question
Hi there,
I've a little question abound programming an ogg-vorbis encoder.
The encode_example.c works ok for files with 44100/2/16 - but not for other
formats.
I don"t really understand what this piece of code is really doing:
/* uninterleave samples */
for(i=0;i<bytes/4;i++){

The package includes some basic descriptive functions that display "the
usual suspects" in formats that should not agitate those accustomed to
the vanilla listings that abound in the real world.
prettyR is intended to assist the R beginner in producing basic stats
right from the word "go". No knowledge beyond that of writing an R
script is required, but there is quite a bit of room to learn and
innovate. Have fun and please let me know if you break it.

IP aliases for services (including dhcpd)?
I'd like to consolidate the services from several old servers onto 2
CentOS7 VMs that are currently running dhcpd in a balanced/failover
configuration. It will simplify things to add the IPs from the old
servers as aliases, at least temporarily so everything will continue
to connect without changes.
However, after adding the first one, I see in the logs that DHCPD is
sending its DHCPACKs

[LLVMdev] Adding Intrinsics for custom processor (frotend problem)
...custom processor based on MIPS.
My problem is how to extend LLVM to support some esoteric/non-standard
feature of the underlying hardware.
I saw in the "Extending LLVM" document, that the easiest / most common
way to do this was using an intrinsic function,
and examples of the technique abound (all SSE for example).
My problem though as mentioned before is that the frontend support for
intrinsics, is undocumented, and implemented
in llvm-gcc which I prefer not to hack with (I use a binary
precompiled one). As far as I could see it supports the
intrinsics using gcc style __builtin_...

If a system admin wants to only trust certain executables,
perhaps he could control access to the binaries, make them

(disclaimers abound and care is required, along with
special consideration for binaries installed by package
managers). Then the traffic is filterable by EGID for the
executable on the firewall only.
This does not quite do what he asked (because you still

[LLVMdev] running clang format on the Mips target
Hi David,
What kind of "a lot of out-of-tree changes"?
You should push changes incrementally as you do work. Holding onto changes means that many things,
not just reformatting, can make them need to be redone. We frequently clean up and rewrite
code to make it cleaner and easier to maintain.
We are moving to a more strict internal review and pushing of changes and post commit

I'd vote for not adding optional matching to the tests. Instead, we
should specify an exact triple and match the expected IR exactly.

Shorewall 1.3.6
...is is a minor release of Shorewall which rolls up a number of bug
fixes.
New features include:
1) The new "Shorewall Setup Guide" is included in this release. This
guide is intended for users who have multiple static external IP
addresses and for users who what to learn a bit more abound
Shorewall than is described in the single-address guides.
2) Shorewall now drops non-SYN tcp packets that are not part of an
established connection. These packets can be optionally logged by
setting the new LOGNEWNOTSYN variable in shorewall.conf.

Yes confusion will abound. There should only ever be one and only one DHCP
server on any network. With two you will sooner of later have multiple DHCP
client hosts with the same IP addresses.

Packet Signing Options and a "PREFER_NO" option.
Hello,
Mac users running OS X 10.12.x report that read and write speeds to SMB-mounted network shares are very poor if packet signing is required (the default on OS X since 10.11.something). Suggestions abound on the Internet that you can restore good throughput by disabling packet signing on the Mac. You do that by creating or editing the /etc/nsmb.conf file and adding:
[default]
require_signing=no
Indeed, customers of my company's products have confirmed that disabling packet signing "ma...

That's not quite true: there are several modes built in, and the
possibility of adding your own.

Two * Questions
We're getting ready to ditch our hosted virtual PBX for an Asterisk
solution and I've got a couple questions that probably come from
experience; we're looking to host two PBXs on the same box if the PBXs
are identified by different DID numbers, and I was curious if:
1. Is it possible to have duplicate extensions between the two PBXs?
Eg: 555-1111x100 and 555-2222x100 on same

RJ11 Pin 1 is on the left when looking at the contact points.
Plantronics Pin 1 is on the left when looking at the contacts (through
the plastic sheild)
My multimeter battery is low, so YMMV, but:
Pin's 1,4 are connected with ~160 ohms
Pin's 2,3 are connected with ~1400 ohms
On my Plantronics head set.

Rumours abound about Grandstream as well, same applies, if the pricing
