Generating abnormal returns in R
...eklyR) = as.Date(time(weeklyR)) print(weeklyR) save(weeklyR , file = "weeklyR.Rdata") write.zoo(weeklyR,file="weeklyR.csv",quote=T,sep=",", na = "NA", dec = "." , row.names = F,col.names = T) Now I need to make a market model in R so i can generate abnormal returns from these stocks. As market index I would like to use the GSPC. I also need to consider abnormal returns calculated over a sixty-trading-day window. Can this be done in R? Is it difficult to write this code? Any help would be much appreciated! thanks drsenne -- View this message in...

Manipulation of longitudinal data by row
I have a dataset of the form below, consisting of one unique ID per row, followed by a series of visit dates. At each visit there are values for 3 dichotomous variables. Of the 8 different possible combinations of the three variables, 4 are "abnormal" and the remaining 4 are "normal". Everyone starts out abnormal, and then either continues to be abnormal at subsequent visits, or resolves to a normal pattern at a later visit (I ignore reversion back to abnormal - once they are normal, they are normal) I have to end up with 4 ne...

Abnormal Windows behaviour with Samba
...xplorer.exe and re-run it, it succeeds on reading them with no problem. A friend of mine told me that I have also to setup the SyncForeground policy in Windows, so as to delay Windows on boot and have a synchronous network reading. I did so, but it didn't do the trick as well... The only 'abnormal' thing in my Samba's configuration is this line: socket options = IPTOS_LOWDELAY TCP_NODELAY SO_RCVBUF=4096 SO_SNDBUF=4096 ...which I use for tuning purposes. However, even if I leave the default (TCP_NODELAY) I have exactly the same abnormal behaviour, so I don't think that this is...

extent alloc gd abnormally cleared
Hi All, We have encountered a case that extent alloc gd has been abnormally cleared. In our environment, the volume has been formatted with 128 slots but actually has 64 slots in use. Since extent alloc is allocated when formatting, and extent_alloc:0107 (inode 259) hasn't been use in our environment, I have no idea how it can happen. Does any one have an idea? Th...

How to remove columns of table in R recursively
Hi R-list, I would like to know how to perform any elimination of attribute (column) in R. E.g I have:- 20,21,22,23,24,25,normal 1,2,3,4,5,5,normal 0,1,0,2,3,4,abnormal ... I intend to do a checking on each column:- If the column sum of abnormal is 0 but the column sum of normal is nonzero, i wanted to eliminate this attribute. And so on and so forth observing other attributes across the list. In the end, I wanted to form information as a table. Desired Outpu...
