rsync: connection unexpectedly closed (0 bytes received so far)
Please forgive my digging up a two year old thread, but I've got the same problem, but the pointers there give no help. This is using versions 3.0.6 (server) and 3.0.7 (client). Unfortunately, I have to type the client stuff in by hand. ("Secured" laptop with highlighting & copying disabled.) Anyway: $ rsync -vvvvvv -a -e ssh --recursive gdoc rsync-acct at 99.99.99.99::doc

An auto-reply message, even if it is actually read by the sender, can be ignored without penalty. An MTA rejection puts the ball into the sender's court because the message has never been accepted by the

migrating dovecot to new server
Hello, I'm needing to migrate my dovecot installation it's 2.3 on FreeBSD 12.1 to a new server. I'd ideally like to back up all the mails in the maildir location, copy that over, load in my configuration files, and bring the system back up. I doubt it's that easy, any pitfalls I should watch out for? Thanks. Dave.

COPILOT Glucose Meter COM problem
...ons on this problem! I have used commands like the following to be certain that I have an active com port: dmesg | grep ttyS rm com1 ln -s /dev/ttyS0 com1 So I suspect the solution lies somewhere in WINE. If all else fails I will get a USB to SERIAL converter cable and try that. My wife has an Abbott Labs Freestyle Lite Glucose meter which uploads to a program called COPILOT via RS232. I was only able to get it to work on ONE of our three Windows XP machines. I tried all day to get it to work on a Dell XP converted to Ubuntu (Gnu/Linux) which d...oes have an RS232 and TERMINAL commands indicat...

[Sieve] Multiple email recipients, how?
Hi, First, I am very new to using Pigeonhole/Sieve with Dovecot and I am struggling with a problem which could be easy to solve but is just a lack of understanding on my end... We use a simple system for routing emails to different email users by postfixing the addresses with the actual user: xxxJohn at domain; yyyJohn at domain etc all will be delivered to user John. (This way John can

User 'vmail' does not have write permissions for /var, which is owned by 'root'. I suggest you create /var/vmail and grant the necessary
