UPS don't reset
Debian sid package v. 2.6.4-2.3
UPS nitram elite 2002 700VA (serial port)
MOBO A7V8X-X
================================
Hi list,
Everything work fine, except after an AC supply shortage:
the UPS don't come back to a normal behavior, it stays
on battery (of course, it works right w/o any cable).
Is there something I can do recover a normal behavior?

Failure to boot isohybrid image from USB stick
Hi,
i did not succeed to get my test computer (Asus A7V8X-X
of 2004) to boot from an isohybrid image.
I tried
http://www.tux.org/pub/people/kent-robotti/looplinux/rip/RIPLinux-7.0-non-X.iso
which is obviously isohybrid enabled.
The system has a "Promise Ultra 133 TX2" IDE controller
which supercedes the mainboard BIOS.

NF410
I'm looking at a motherboard with the NF410 (nforce 410) chipset (AUD,
VID, LAN on motherboard).
Is this chipset readily know by centos 4.3?
At some point nvidia changed PCI ID's and I am wonding if the NF410
PCI ID's are known by centos 4.3 before i buy?
THanks,

PHP Segfaults on Centos 5 and PBX in a Flash but not Trixbox
Hi Guys,
Any known reasons why PHP 5 (Centos 5) might be segfaulting on an Asus A7V8X
mobo with an Athlon 2400XP (1GB RAM). Everything else works fine and I had
done some system/RAM tests so I am pretty sure the hardware's OK. Here's
what I have found:
Vanilla CentOS 5 - PHP segfaults
yum remove/install PHP on above - PHP segfaults
PBX in a Flash iso (based on CentOS5) - PH...

[help] Use syslinux but can not boot from USB key
I try two ways to use syslinux for USB key (2GB USB key), and one
approach can boot from machine, another approach can not. Could you
review the following steps and tell me why #2 can not boot? Thanks
very much!
approach #1
steps:
mkfs.vfat -F 16 -n USB /dev/sdb -I (pay attention, it uses "-I" here)
syslinux /dev/sdb (pay attention, it is "sdb", not "sdb1" here)

Looking for testers and advise about ISOLINUX within ISO 9660
...ion (i.e last_session_start_lba + 0x11) ?
Our tests with multi-session CD-RW and DVD-RW showed that
- they boot if the first session was bootable
- they don't boot if the first session was not bootable
regardless whether the last session is bootable or not.
Test were made with a Asus A7V8X-X of year 2004 and a
Asus P3B-F of 1999.
We are quite sure that it is not about our own efforts
since on DVD+RW we can happily switch from bootable to
non-bootable and vice-versa by overwriting the first
32 blocks on media after adding a new session.
- How to recognize an existing ISOLI...

Dell Servers
Hi,
I was planning on getting a Dell PowerEdge 2950 for our new Asterisk
configuration.
But while searching for documentation about it and/or reported issues, I
found this:

WARNING - many Dell motherboards use the e1000 gigabit ethernet chipset,
