summary.table bug in parameter (and fix) (PR#2526)
...version, but it's in latest version as well. The fix is simple. In the summary.table function, the parameter is calculated incorrectly for a test of independence among all cells when the table is more than 2-way table. Example: Consider X: > X a b c 1 A1 B2 C1 2 A3 BA3 C2 3 A2 B1 C4 4 A1 B2 C3 5 A3 BA3 C2 6 A1 BA3 C1 7 A2 BA3 C2 8 A1 BA3 C3 9 A1 B2 C1 10 A1 BA3 C2 11 A2 B1 C2 12 A1 B2 C3 13 A3 BA3 C4 14 A2 B1 C3 15 A2 B1 C2 16 A2 BA3 C4 17 A3 BA3 C3 18 A3 BA3 C4 19 A2 BA3 C4 20 A1 B2 C3 21 A1 BA3 C1 22 A2 B1 C2 23 A2 BA3 C3 24 A2 B1 C...

convert for loop into apply()
Hi all,I know this topic has came up multiple times, but I've never fully understand the apply() function. Anyway, I'm here asking for your help again to convert this loop to apply(). I have 2 data frames with the following information: a1 is the fragment that is need to be covered, a2 is the probes that cover the specific fragment. I need to count the number of probes cover every given fragment (they need to have the same cat ID to be on the same fragment) a1<-data.frame(id=c(1:6), cat=c('cat 1','cat 1','cat 2','cat 2','cat 2','ca...

store and repeat data based on row names (loop, if statement)
...actual 'TO' ID from the data set (there is no easy way to do this in Arc so I thought I would try in R). The way to do this is to find the dist = 0 row for an ID then that is that IDs unique 'TO' code, so if you look down the second column the highest no. is 4, and A1 = 2, A1.1 = 1, A2 = 4, A2.1 = 3. So I need to get that data and then put it in a new column that will basically read A1.1, A1, A2.1, A2, A1.1, A1, A2.1, A2, A1.1, A1, A2.1, A2, A1.1, A1, A2.1, A2. If anyone has any hints or tips or places to look I would be most grateful! Cheers, Ross TO DIST ID 1 2.63981 ...

package vignettes, suggests and R CMD check
Dear R-devels, We have encountered a problem concerning a dead lock in the dependency graph: We have two packages A1 and A2 where A2 extends A1. We have one package vignette for both packages, but which should be included into package A1. So in the "suggests" field of the DESCRIPTION file of A1 we suggest A2 to be able to produce the vignette at build/install time. On the other hand this means that A2 has t...

IAX Example Needed
Hi All! I have two [*]s, and both work OK as a simple local PBX. Now, I try to link them using IAX. Let's call those babies a1 and a2. From a1, I want to dial a phone connected to a2. Both boxes have a fixed IP address, and use standard port 5036, say a1.mystrx.com and a2.mystrx.com. Where I (obviously) get confused, is when it comes to inbound, outbound, registration, etc. Taking a hint from SIP channels, though, here is what...
