Problem with squirrelmail and dovecot 1.1
...w this is not the latest version) and
know I'm having troubles with:
1.) Folder list view
2.) Save to sent or Drafts folder.
Configuration worked well. I think it has to do with the upgrade from
dovecot 1.0 to 1.1 and the LIST command. Thunderbird/alpine work well.
Commands from rawlog are:
A002 LIST "" "~/Mail/Drafts"
A002 OK List completed.
or
A002 LIST "" "~/Mail/sent"
A003 CREATE "~/Mail/sent"
A002 OK List completed.
A003 NO Mailbox exists.
Has something changed in the folder behaviour of dovecot from 1.0 to 1.1?

Questions regarding quota
Hi,
I have some trouble trying to test the quota plugin.
First off all, it says in the wiki: "Dovecot 1.0 supports quota using a
quota plugin. It's currently discussed in Dovecot LDA page and it
supports only very simple quota calculation which is suitable only for
mboxes. Maildir++ quota support will come later."
Does that mean that it won't work at all with Maildir++, or

Dovecot upgrade from 1.2.x to 2.0.x: roundcube/squirrelmail sent folder doesn't work any more
Hello,
After upgrading from 1.2.x to 2.0.x I'm having problems using sent
folder in Webmail applications like roundcube mail and squirrelmail.
Relevant config dovecot.conf:
mail_location = mbox:~:INBOX=/var/mail/%u
Different LIST behaviour from rawlog:
1.2.x: with Prefix ~/Mail
A002 LIST "" "~/Mail/sent"
* LIST (\NoInferiors \UnMarked) "/" "~/Mail/sent"
A002 OK List completed.
2.0.x: with Prefix ~/Mail
A0003 LIST "" ~/Mail/sent
A0003 OK List completed.:

imapc making too any connections
Hi,
I was testing around with 2.2.31, and saw that it made new extra connections to the backend imap server whenever you make a new mailbox.
So client does:
A001 login username password
A002 create subfolder
Previously, dovecot would just send the create command to the backend, but now does (including connection IDs):
[conn1] 9 CREATE "subfolder"
[conn1] 10 EXAMINE "INBOX"
[conn2] 12 LOGIN "username" "password"
[conn2] 11 SELECT "subfolder...

Bug? Expunging Symlinked Maildir w/ Lazy_expunge Enabled
Hi all,
Using Dovecot 1.0.3 on RedHat Enterprise 5 (kernel 2.6.18-8.1.6.el5PAE),
and NFS storage, we symlinked a Maildir folder:
/mailstore/user/Maildir/.Junk -> /junkstore/user/Junkmaildir
Everything works fine, until we try to expunge, which produces:
A04 NO BUG: Unknown internal error
This only happens if "lazy_expunge" is enabled:

But:

This is unexpected. Creating a subfolder is not allowed but a sub-subfolder
is permitted? If this is intentional, the description in the wiki should
mention this. And: How to disallow the creation of any subfolders and...

Dovecot development status v1.0
Timo,
Regarding:
http://www.dovecot.org/list/dovecot/2005-January/006144.html
I would like an estimate of where you are on the path to a
released (dovecot-1.0). I have read your statement regarding
the -stable series and am wondering when we see the first
feature complete -beta of v1.0?
Thank for your hard efforts. I have been a happy customer
for about a year.

IMAP views - and things to make Outlook Express not suck so much
...}
Views would not be deletable (unless one wants to invent some
nonstandard IMAP extensions today), but they would otherwise look like
regular folders. One could post and search and fetch messages as normal
(with some alterations to various IMAP fields).
In the examples I gave:
A001 SELECT Junk
A002 SEARCH ALL
A003 SELECT Trash
A004 SEARCH ALL
A005 FETCH 1 FLAGS
would be translated into:
A001 SELECT INBOX
A002 SEARCH ALL KEYWORD Junk
A003 SELECT {for each SUBSCRIBED folder}
A004 SEARCH ALL DELETED
A005 FETCH 1 FLAGS
Except, A005 would actually yield:
* 1 FETCH (FLAGS ())
Instead of:
* 1 FE...
