Error: bad value ? what is that?
Hi,
I'm finding a very strange error.
For no good reason my R console (Rgui.exe, R 2.5.0, under win XP) stops
producing anything meaningful, and just returns:
Error: bad value
to _whatever_ I enter. It starts doing this after a while, not immediately
when launched.
I have to restart R when this happens.
No idea why. I didn't change anything in the R config that I remenber.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.

then i walk the array again, using the tag for each chunk to
generate the appropriate output for the desired format(s)...
(sometimes the tag, or the output, is dependent upon the
surrounding chunks, and that's the reason i walk it twice.)
it's the methodology of a simpleton, i am...

WINS capabilities
I have set up SAMBA on AIX 4.2 and can attach to NT shares and vice versa. I
acquired and configured SAMBA for basically one reason, that being to gain
WINS client capabilities for AIX. Right now it's not working as expected,
though.
I am implementing Tivoli, and Tivoli requires a bidirectional name to address
resolution in order to register the managed node agent with the Framework. I

Changes in specs for routes in rspec 1.1.99.x
Trying the next release of rspec, I have had to make changes in the
existing specs for routing.
I have written an script with sed that makes this automatically (two
files)
spec/upgrade.sed
================
/route_for/s/id => 1/id => "1"/g
/route_for.*create/s/== \(["''].*["'']\)/== {:path => \1, :method =>
:post}/
/route_for.*update/s/==

specific matrix element tranformation
Hi guys,
I am trying to write a function that allows me to perform specific
transformations to each element of
a 2 by 2 matrix to generate a 3 by 3 matrix.
Input into function-2 by 2 matrix
Output from function -3 by 3 matrix
For example:
# a is my original 2 by 2 matrix
#b is my new 3 by 3 matrix
set.seed(2)
a=matrix(rnorm(4),ncol=2)
#let's say these are the transformations i wish to

Missing information in source()
Dear R-help,
I am running a Mac under Sierra, with R version 3.4.2 and RStudio 1.1.383. When running head () or tail () on an object in a script using source (<script name>) nothing appears in the output file, but if I use these commands in the normal R window the normal output appears.
What am I doing wrong?
