Routing help
...ting is the last resort.
*The problems that I''m facing:*
My connection is broken whenever I tried using the multilinking routing
techniques that you showed on the site. And I thus have to reboot
everytime it gets broken.
Here is what my ip shows me, as you instructed in the guide:
_Using 1 modem only:

# ip route show

...r Redirections" page of the
Samba WIKI I find an 'information box' that says, /"//Windows does not
support dynamically-generated user home folders provided by the Samba
[homes] section. If you used this way to provide home folders, set up a
group policy preference instead. See _Using a Group Policy
Preference_.//"/ I take this info statement to mean that Windows does
not create a new user folder and this is why we (admins) should create
the new user folders manually on any member servers.
When I set my folder redirection up (years ago) I followed the first
section &qu...

The problem is that you can use [homes], but Windows cannot create...

password for swat
I got SWAT running on OS X 10.4 and when I go to localhost:901 I am
asked for password. However neither root nor admin work (I enabled
root). I get:
The name or password entered for area ?SWAT? on localhost:901 was
incorrect. Please try again.
Thanks for help,

[Fwd: Re: can't connect to swat]
...y_from = localhost
Then logging in with <http://localhost:901> should work OK.
Incidentally, the swat file in an xinetd setup is typically located in
/etc/xinetd.d. I know very little about inetd environments, but there's
a pretty good discussion of swat enabling in O'Reilly's _Using Samba_
(Ts, Eckstein, Collier-Brown), beginning on pg 52. This discussion
includes the inetd environment.

[Re: [Re: Won't Start Automatically]]]
My other source of info is the O'Reilly book _Using Samba_ by Ts, Eckstein,
and Collier-Brown. In Chapter 2, they say that the kills--the Kxxservices--
are always run first, then the Startups--the Sxxservice--are run. They're not
explicit on the numbering, but they imply that lower numbers are always run
before higher numbers. Finally, the...
