Mac - Filesystem Size Limit?
...We are on 10.4.x on brand new Intel macs. We are mounting a samba
share that is approx 4.8TB, but only 1.9TB shows as the size of the
disk.
Is this a known limitation of samba on the Mac, or can it be fixed by
upgrading to a newer version of the client?
I found a bit of info stating that there _used_ to be a problem
(2004), but it would be fixed in the 10.4 series of MacOSX.

I couldn't find any other info. Anybody know?

2.5.6: a number of minor issues
I just picked up rsync 2.5.6 and installed it. I haven't actually
_used_ it for anything yet; this is entirely about a handful of minor
issues I noticed while building it. You may care or you may not; for
simplicity of language (to avoid many repeated "in case you care" and
such), the text below is written assuming you care about them all.

Detecting silence
...ot; and silence
introduced by propagation delays (lack of signal)? Is automated
production over the internet not too difficult or creeping into
the area of being an AI problem? For what kind of "production"?
My interest (to answer this last question) is in grass-roots
(what we _used_ to think of as radio) journalism and the development
of decentralized means of producing and distributing it (otherwise,
corporate media is going to control everything we hear, see and
think).

duplicated factor labels.
Hmm, the danger in this is that duplicated factor levels _used_ to be allowed (i.e. multiple codes with the same level). Disallowing it is what broke read.spss() on some files, because SPSS's concept of value labels is not 1-to-1 with factors.
Reallowing it with different semantics could be premature. I mean, if we hadn't had the "forbidden"...

That's the document I wrote to both read (in incoming mode) and write (to
clients) the mp3/shoutcast metadata support in icecast2. I'd say it's sufficient.

Cleaning up a worker that is about to be killed.

I saw something about @job_ctrl in the comments, but nowhere did I
see it actually _used_. Is this implemented by DRb?

digium card fax detect AND spandsp

HotFax hangs up with error "Phase B Error".
Watching the verbose * console, it appears that there is some useful

Oddly enough, faxing between HotFax and spandsp _used_ to work, before
I switched her * box over from an x100p to a tdm400p+fxo (although I
can't be 100% certain the card change is to blame, since zaptel and
asterisk have also both been updated).
Any comments on either of these issues is appreciated,
Thanks

Unknown or blocked ID now shows up as "asterisk"
Hello, all.
This is rather annoying. I know that this _used_ to
work in my production system.
I'm running Asterisk 1.0.5 and am using IAX

Used to be, when someone called in from a
caller-id-blocked number, the notification email said:
"From an unknown caller", and the message envelope
when I listened to it also said "From a...

[PATCH] clk: allow config option to enable reclocking
...de causing problems. The option
> prevents the memory recording scripts from being executed.
OK, so it really should be getting enabled in order for reclocking to
"work". If you're really sure that it won't work for the majority of
tesla cases --fine. I definitely know that it _used_ to work before
3.13 too, e.g. some ~nva8 user needed to clock it up to get video
decoding engines to be fast enough.
So... fine. Let's do the full enable for nvaa, override-able enable
for nv40, nve0 (including defaulting NvMemExec to on if NvReclock is
set), and leave nv50/nva3/nvc0 alone.

findGlobals on apply
Hi the list,
Considere the following:
f <- function(x){apply(x,2,mean)}
findGlobals(f)
findGlobals consideres mean as a global variable, which it is not.
Is there a way to tell to findGlobals that mean is a function ?
Thanks

My adventures with Wine and Netscape

independent programs since), I am not going to worry about it.
Second is the plugin I mentioned, the reason I needed to install
netscape.exe in the first place. It (the plugin) actually seemed to
install itself, but cannot be currently _used_; netscape claims
(another dialog box) the plugin's .ini file is inaccessible due to a
"permissions" problem (I am using --winver win98, and thought that
it didn't use administrator vs. user permissions?). All the directories
in the path are world readable, most are world writable...

Yet another memory limit problem
Dear List,
I have read and read and still don't get why I am getting a memory issue.? I am
using a Samsung PC running Windows 7.? I have set memory in the target field:
?"C:\Program Files (x86)\R\R-2.11.1\bin\Rgui.exe" --max-mem-size=3G
But when I try a simple plot I get:

-q option failing
Hi all,
I've tried to find this in the mailing list, but to no avail. Im using the
rip perl tool (rip.sourceforge.net) to encode using ogg vorbis. As far as I
can tell, setting the quality AND making vorbis read from STDIN is causing
a failure. The message reads in part
"Opening with wav module: WAV file reader
Mode initialisation failed: invalid parameters for quality"
