...We are on 10.4.x on brand new Intel macs. We are mounting a samba share that is approx 4.8TB, but only 1.9TB shows as the size of the disk. Is this a known limitation of samba on the Mac, or can it be fixed by upgrading to a newer version of the client? Hmm, the danger in this is that duplicated factor levels _used_ to be allowed (i.e. multiple codes with the same level). Disallowing it is what broke read.spss() on some files, because SPSS's concept of value labels is not 1-to-1 with factors. Reallowing it with different semantics could be premature. Watching the verbose * console, it appears that there is some useful communication between spandsp and the HotFax (output is here: http://voxbox.ca/tmp/rxfax.html). As far as I can tell, setting the quality AND making vorbis read from STDIN is causing a failure.
