TCP_NODELAY at the cafe.
...ws 95 machines if they get heavily cluttered / messed about by customers downloading software. mandatory profiles are really useful for this, because we only use one account for all the users, at the moment. the one complaint that we had was the speed of loading applications. netscape gold took _two minutes_ to load from the server (a 486dx2 66, with 8mb ram). so, i figured, why not try socket options = TCP_NODELAY. and it now takes twenty seconds to load netscape! most excellent. anyway, i just wanted to say thank you to the samba developers for a great product. regards, luke

5.0: installing everything
...otables such as openssl. - A kickstart install with a wild-card glob in the packages list does not work either; one gets a minimal install. Wild cards evidently not supported. - A kickstart install with a full listing of every rpm (not packages) in the %packages section does work, but it takes _two days_ of 100% CPU to resolve dependencies. So, how do I determine the proper full package list to use in the %packages section for a kickstart install? Do I have to go grubbing around in comps.xml to find the proper package list? TIA, Steve

Multiple playlists on multiple streams
I am just starting to use icecast and would appreciate some help with setup. I have searched the archive and read the documentation, but I am unable to determine how to get ices to stream a playlist on one mount point and another separate playlist on another mount point. Is it supported? I know that streaming the same playlist at different bit rates on different mount points is supported. I

Investigating Unicode. Take 2, with nastities and allegations.
Well, I see that my last email hasn''t generated any reaction from the Rails core team. It looks like all of them are the happy users of "plain text" (which, as we know by now, doesn''t exist, but still). I apologize in advance for the sore bitterness of this message but I see that the Rails-core STILL, despite all of the efforts, sees these issues as something

How to finalize instruction lowering after register allocation.
...nstruction could be easily done by custom inserter at end of Instruction Selection. It is understood that the MachineRegisterInfo has all the information about the sub-registers overlapping. But the problem is have to map (before registers allocation) _one Virtual Register_ of RegClassAB into the _two overlapping physical sub-registers_ ! Has someone an idea to properly lowering and allocating registers to BUILD_VECTOR, considering my SIMD registers definition and my instructions set? Thanks in advance, comments are welcome.
