Function for gruping similar variables?
...e to get similar output to this (LSD.test):
Groups, Treatments and means
a oo 36.9
a ff 36.33333
b cc 24.4
c fc 12.86667
For example, there's a group of variables 4, 5, 6, & 7 that don't
significantly differ from each other. Is there any _simple_ way to
mark all of them as a group?
If you have any ideas, I'd be grateful.
Thanks in advance,

mixed local & roaming profiles?
...= ..." due to sporatic problems I'm seeing.
We're only ~10 regular Windows2000 users, and ~30 VMware Win2K users, so
roaming doesn't buy us much. However, it might be helpful if I could
enable roaming either by user or by host, particularly with the VMware
users.
Is there a _simple_ option for this?
Thanks!

Seeking documentation for SAMBA3+LDAP but NOT PDC
Hi there,
I would like to build a _simple_ server for sharing files, using Samba3.
I use FreeBSD5, the machine works well with ldap, nss_switch, pam_ldap.
Users can login (ssh) using the ldap account : perfect.
Now i want them to access some file/shares using SMB with Samba3, using
their LDAP account.
BUT : **I don't want to turn this...

NUT support for APC BackUPS Pro 900VA
Hi all,
I'm trying to configure Nut to connect to an APC BackUPS Pro 900VA.
This ups uses a serial port on which _simple_ or _smart_ signaling
should be spoken. I've connected the UPS to a serial port using the
original 940_0128A cable from APC.
Unfortunately I've not yet managed to read any data from the ups.
If I try to load the apcsmart driver it tells me that it cannot
communicate with the ups.

environment confusion
I'm in a bit beyond my depth with environments and such.
The environment of a particular function, which I've set
so it should have the things it needs, seems to be getting
"lost" at some point during a call sequence.
It's hard to come up with a _simple_ reproducible
example, although if anyone's sufficiently interested I
can post the package somewhere -- with the package installed,
it's only a few steps to reproduce the example.
I end up, deep in the process of trying to compute
a likelihood profile, with the following situation:
I want...

Hi everyone .. need some pro-dovecot arguments :-)
Hi,
i never used dovecot so far, but i heard a couple good things about it
.. for one the debian maintainer of the exim package recommended it :-)
so i want to change our mailserver (currently using ipop3 and uw-imap)
to dovecot ... now my boss seems to favour cyrus.
i could use some good arguments for dovecot, also your experiences with
it and with other mailservers so i can make a

Changes to get CD to boot on EFI System.
...icular case, or with
some other assumption.
For me to be able to understand and differentiate "basic UEFI" from
additional assumptions, I have had to read different documents,
comparing between them, re-read, then re-read, then search a little
more, then re-read...
IMHO, there is no _simple_ way to "explain UEFI" in a _practical and
effective_ manner, especially with so many "documents" with inaccurate
/ mixing information.
Regarding the Syslinux wiki, I am still against adding "information"
explaining what some subject "is not". A minor, asi...

R-help,
I have a frame which I want to fill up conditioning to another data

The one I want to fill up is as follows (basically an empty one):

unit test question
In development and production, I''ve got postgresql constraints that
prevent deleting a CaseManager if there is a Client that belongs to that
CaseManager.
In unit tests...and obviously in my testing db, those restrictions don''t
get added.
Is it wrong to test for deleting dependent records in unit tests?

[LLVMdev] Upstreaming PNaCl's IR simplification passes
The PNaCl project has implemented various IR simplification passes that
simplify LLVM IR by lowering complex features to simpler features. We'd
like to upstream some of these IR passes to LLVM. We'd like to explore if
this acceptable, and if so, how we should go about doing this.
The immediate reason is that Emscripten is reusing PNaCl's IR passes for
its new "fastcomp"

ipchains iproute2 and port based routing
Hi all!
I try to make port based routing, because a have two connections to the
internet.
My router is a "one disk floppy router for linux". It is a big router
project www.fli4l.de. I try also to make a opt, it is like a plugin for this
router.
This project uses Kernel 2.2.19 compiled with libc5 (because it is small and
you can use one floppy disk).
At the moment, iproute2 is not
