umask 007 ineffective with newly created Maildir message
...mask = 007 maildir_copy_with_hardlinks = yes To reproduce:- 1. Using your IMAP client with two IMAP accounts, copy a message from a folder in one account, to a folder in the other account 2. See that the newly created message file is -rw------- If a message is moved between folders on the _same_ account, however, the group permissions are preserved (ie not masked off). So it seems that the umask option is ineffective when the imap daemon creates a new maildir message file. Thanks, Steve. -- BOFH excuse #400: We are Microsoft. How to do a meta-analysis plot

Another approach I used was to change the class of my object but it didn't work either. I'm running XP SP2 on a 2.4 GHz Intel-Core 2 Duo processor and my R-session info is the following: R version 2.7.2 RC (2008-08-...

leaving Profiles on PDC
...figure my samba server and its clients to leave the user profiles on the server if a user logs on/off. Windows (2000) seems to synchronize the local profile every time a user logs on/off, which can't be disabled. so, i thought, why not use this synchronize "feature" to synchronize the _same_ files ( - or then - don't touch anything ? ) I searched the registry and found the option "ProfilesDirectory", which was set to "Dokumente und Einstellungen" (german version) ...I changed this value to \\server1\profiles\ so that windows doesn't the profile to "Doku...

[LLVMdev] Uninitialized variable - question
Hello, I was wondering about the case below. I tried to find any information in C standard, but I found nothing. In this case, variable "i" is uninitialized, but it is the _same_ value passed as an argument, so only of "a" or "b" should be printed. What I found is that with -O2: LLVM (trunk) prints both "a" and "b" GCC (4.2) prints both "a" and "b" GCC (trunk) prints "b" only. As I said, I don't kno...

Boot GSP node with KVM and VirtIO
...the install itself detects both the VirtIO harddisk (/dev/vdx) and VirtIO ethernet nic and completes successfully, I'm not able to boot the virtual machine from it. After POST I can only see the GSP boot message and the countdown timer, but when the timer reach 0 it stalls. When I reassign the _same_ disk as IDE or SCSI device, the virtual machine boots as expected. Am I missing something, is VirtIO not supported or is this a bug ?

NTLMv1 v. NTLMv2 ; more than one "identity" on a TCP connection
...For example, say I open a TCP connection, authenticate myself using NegProt/SessionSetupAndX/etc exchanges as user "foo" password "bar", can I also establish another identity (i.e., do another SessionSetupAndX exchange?) say, "hello" password "world" on the _same_ TCP connection? This seems to be enforced on the client-side because if you try to connect to a share on a computer using a different identity, it complains saying already connected. But, nothing comes over the wire, so it is purely a client-internal decision. In the world of NTLM, would the sam...

simple plot with magnified cex.axis & cex.label
...ke subj. Here is code: x <- 1:5 y <- 1:5 par ( cex.lab = 3.6, cex.axis = 3.6 ) plot ( x, y, ylab = "Any title" ) I've got ugly picture, where 1) x-axis labels & x-axis itself overlapped, 2) y-axis title does not not fit within bounding box. The _same_ effect in "postscript" device. Is this a bug? Could I solve this problem any way _now_, if I _have_ to plot graph with strongly magnified axis labels? problem with x11 and PS devices on different machines
...eb packages installed. So I tried to run the same R script, which plots graph in x11 device and then dump it to eps file (x11 and eps you'll find attached). On the home machine there are some stranges in x11 plot as well as in eps file. On the work machine all the ok, despite of that I use the _same_ version of binary deb package. May be any troubles with the font paths? Thank you in advance for any suggestions! -- WBR, Timur -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... Multiboot and machine trust accounts
I have client running windows 2000 which is part of a domain with a samba (2.2.3a) server running as PDC. Authentication works fine. On the _same_ client I have added a partition that boots into Win XP, it has the same machine name. However I cannot get it to join the domain. I can use the administrator account to look at objects on the pdc, but when I try to create a user account I get a failed trust relationships error. I'm guess...

When user1 closes his/her "foo.doc" on the home-share user2 is able to open the file. This is on Windows 2000 Terminal Services SP2 with Citrix Metaframe 1.8 (dont...

Xen HVM images on VMware ESX
Hi everyone, I''m trying to convert some Xen HVM images to run on VMware ESX, unsuccessfully thus far. I believe the problem is that ESX by default wants the VMs to use SCSI virtual disks, but my HVM VMs are configured to use IDE virtual disks. If you have any experience with this sort of thing, please get in touch. Thanks! Diwaker -- http://floatingsun.net/

Weakness in Knuth-TAOCP RNG (fwd) (PR#1336)
...than it should really be; - Despite Knuth's request that no change should be made to the code, the present R code (1.5.0-devel and previous) contains a change (the line "long ran_x[KK];" is commented, and ran_x is defined elsewhere in the program). The patch contains the _same_ change; I let you decide if this is acceptable in regard to Knuth's request. ubuntu package installs
...ite well as of now, but I am attempting to get the ubuntu side of things to work as well. I am frankly more familiar with RHEL under puppet than ubuntu. Anywho, I was wondering if I could get an opinion on the following situation. Ultimately the challenge I currently face is in how to install the _same_ version of the amanda backup client (3.1.2) across the board for all centos and ubuntu machines. There are currently no repositories (on either side) that I know of that install this particular version. As such I must download the software from the amanda site. rpm handles this quite well on the RH...

[LLVMdev] Re: idea 10
...the confusion was simply one of terminology. What you're talking about is what I call parallel computing or multi-processing (symmetric or asymetric). This isn't really distributed computing although one could think of the operations being "distributed" across several CPUs on the _same_ computer. > > > How would code evaluation > > distributed to multiple hosts benefit anyone? Okay, now you're talking about "hosts" which I take to mean separate physical computers with the only way for the "hosts" to communicate is via a network. Is this wh...

What's the best way to get Syslinux to boot efi?
Sorry thinking about this problem at work, I'm using my cellphone. Won't get home until 1am. I run Gentoo. https://wiki.gentoo.org/wiki/Syslinux#Setup_on_EFI_systems is my distribution instructions on installing Syslinux. http://www.syslinux.org/wiki/index.php?title=Install#UEFI are your instructions. I have tried both instructions only to get a blank or black screen. Trying to make a
