That is _precisely_ why it needs a comment. It's a selection of a
particular technology for a particular reason that someone may not
understand as important without having to dig back to a thread or bug
report like this. For example:
# Use "exec sh -c" to ensure POSIX compliant scripting,

client connections seems high
...strange. I've never seen that behaviour. Perhaps you could
give some more detailed explanations of how you've got things set up?
At a minimum:
- icecast version (and what platform you're running it on)
- icecast config file (with passwords blanked out, of course)
- description of _precisely_ what figure you're looking at that's
113 off, and where you found that number.
- description of what sources you have connected, etc.

How to transfer variables from one page to another page ?
Hi,
In my application I want to tranfer a variable (store_id) from one page
to next without putting it into session. How should I do this?
Is there any way to transfer variable from one to other page using
methods other than sesion?
Thanx

Icecast 2.2.0 running on Slackware Linux 10.0

Config file is attached

I've attached a stats.xml which I got from my icecast server as I was
typing this email. At the top you see "<clients>131</clients>" Under
the sources below there is a <liste...

listener authentication for multiple mountpoints; client connections seems high
Two quick questions:
1. Is it ok to use the same password file for multiple mountpoints, or
will that cause problems?
2. Why would my clients number 113 larger than my number of listeners?
It was right earlier today, but when I restarted the sources it
increased by 113, and it has stayed that high since then. I find it
especially odd since I have clients set to 100 in icecast.xml, and

Upgrading R packages on Etch
Greetings,
I've been trying to upgrade R packages on my Debian Etch
(whose other upgrades I have been cheerfully going along
with as they occur).
When I did, just now:
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade
I got:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Calculating upgrade... Done
The following packages have been kept back:
r-base-core r-cran-boot r-cran-cluster

This is _precisely_ why my rollouts are all strongly recommending using
a
channel bank instead of the cheap X100P/TDM400P cards -- a lot of work
has
been put into the hybrid circuitry to dynamically adjust to the line
impedance. I've had no serious issues with the X100P/TDM400P in small
scale stuff but the ec...
