Dovecot auth process delays exiting if LDAPS passdb used
Hi,
I'm using Dovecot 2.1.6 and LDAP server as a backend for
Postfix SMTP-Auth (SASL) on Debian GNU/Linux (wheezy),
Solaris 10 and AIX 6.1/7.1.
If Dovecot passdb is configured with LDAP (no TLS/SSL),
it is no problem. But if Dovecot passdb is configured with
LDAPS (or LDAP+TLS), Dovecot auth process has a problem
that Dovecot auth delays exiting about between 20 and
60 seconds when Dovecot

Samba 4.9.3 and the "10 hour problem"
Hmm…
I see that there is a patch in the bugzilla page for that bug. I guess I could try that one… :-)
I notice in the patch that there is a lot of talk about SMB2 - we use SMB3 mostly now. But perhaps there is some code sharing? Or perhaps SMB2 is used when talking to the AD servers? Or the few SMB2-talking clients causes the problem for all of the other users? When testing the “timeout” issue I

[PATCH 2/2] virtio_net: fix race in RX VQ processing
...However, we must call napi_complete to clear NAPI_STATE_SCHED before
polling the virtqueue for used buffers, otherwise napi_schedule_prep in
a callback will fail, causing us to lose RX events.
To fix, call virtqueue_enable_cb_prepare with NAPI_STATE_SCHED
set (under napi lock), later call virtqueue_poll with
NAPI_STATE_SCHED clear (outside the lock).

AIX mail quota plugin problems
From reading the wiki for a filesystem quota, I took my shot at
1) building my binaries using the mods in AIXPluginsSupport
2) changing dovecot.conf and
3) putting the plugins in the library
But I'm getting this error message when I invoke dovecot:
Plugin imap_quota not found from directory /usr/local/lib/dovecot
Error: imap dump-capability process returned 89
It would seem that
