uniden voip gear
Anyone used any of the Uniden VoIP gear, any comments one how easy it was to
integrate with asterisk? Also quality of the gear in general?
This unit _looks_ pretty nice on paper

I have been a little too busy and have not yet upgraded to 18.04 so I can't
attempt to replicate -- but it _looks_ just like a garden variety binary
mismatch.
We _know_ R 3.5.* requires _all_ binary packages to be reinstalled and it is
easy to miss one. So unless G?ran shows us a generally reproducible bug I
will suspect that this is simply a local deployment issue.

[PATCH 00/11] Use copy_process in vhost layer
...onable, and several of them looked like
nice cleanups.
The only one I went "Why do you do it that way" for was in 10/11
(entirely internal to vhost, so I don't feel too strongly about this)
how you made "struct vhost_worker" be a pointer in "struct vhost_dev".
It _looks_ to me like it could just have been an embedded structure
rather than a separate allocation.
IOW, why do
vhost_dev->worker
instead of doing
vhost_dev.worker
and just having it all in the same allocation?
Not a big deal. Maybe you wanted the 'test if worker pointer is NULL'
code...

link(2) EMLINK error behavior with --link-dest and --hard-links
Hi,
I'm having a problem using --link-dest and --hard-links when
the fs hits the hard link limit (link(2) returns EMLINK).
Using rsync 3.0.7 an error is thrown and the target file is
not created. Glancing at git head it _looks_ like things
could now be a little nicer. Perhaps the target file is copied
instead of hard linked when hardlinking fails -- I've not
tested it.
Anyway, the behavior I desire when using both --link-dest and
--hard-links and when running out of links is to get an error,
but to "have the --...

wine-20011004 Problems
...dora Light 3.0.5. The most stable
release for me thus far has been wine-20010112, which is what I'm using
right now. Most of the releases since then have had window problems with
Eudora-- messages having too much blank space, strange things.
So I tried 1004, and it has a new problem. Eudora _looks_ great, better
than any previous release. However, I have two showstopping problems--
first, Eudora can't seem to access the net with this release (this makes
e-mail quite difficult, as I'm sure you can imagine). Second, Eudora
keeps popping up errors I've never seen before about not b...

core dumped messages from tune2fs
I decided to start using ext3. My kernel 2.4.15p9.
I downloaded and build util-linux-2.11m
and e2fsprogs 1.25.
I compiled ext3 in the kernel.
I started converting my filesystems and thing went ok for the first few.
I then started getting the following on each additional filesystem.

Syntax for address range
I would like to add a rule allowing only the address 192.168.150.20 and the
range of addresses from 192.169.150.100 to 192.168.150.150 in zone dmz0 to
connect to two terminal servers in the local zone.
Is there a syntax that can specify a range of addresses in the rules file? Do
I have to enter each one separately?

validation errors bring up stack trace error page
hello!
I made some custom validations for my app, which do catch invalid data
in the console. However, when I enter invalid data through a form on the
browser view, I get your stack trace error style page (similar to what
you see when you get a syntax error or a nil object) instead of the
nicely styled error messages (what you would see in a scaffolded
application.
First off, what is the stack

VMWare vs. KVM - recommendations?
...omething
newer/better.
I've seen some of the horror stories about problems with VMWare 2.0,
which is not at all encouraging, and I've taken a look at the Red Hat
Virtualization guides (the 5.4 one that's online in html only) and
also a PDF version for 5.2 that I found somewhere, and it _looks_
complicated. (One of the main benefits of VMWare Server that I really
liked was that it is fairly easy to use and relatively low
maintenance, if it works, and 1.0.8 works just fine, except for the
screen issue.) OTOH, the built-in nature of KVM is really appealing,
and if it works as well as othe...

3.2 kernel with C5? Or ndiswrapper?
...om the boot
messages that the kernel is seeing them, but it's failing to mount and
switchroot.
(of course I can't get useful information 'cos you can't do anything
useful after a panic!)
Looking at the initrd, it seems to have all the right drivers and
modules, and the init script _looks_ correct... but it's just not
working.
Has anyone else tried to get 3.2.9 to work with C5.8?
Or has anyone any advice for getting ndiswrapper to work for me (or
other ways of running the N150 card)?
Thanks!

index.html keeps getting regenerated
(let me start with an apology; I''m sure this is a dumb question, but
I''ve looked everywhere and can''t find an answer. Thanks in advance for
your patience)
I''m in the middle of deploying an app, and it _looks_ as though
everything is set up properly as far as my routes.rb and whatnot.
However, even though I''ve deleted the public/index.html file, whenever I
hit the application the index.html file gets regenerated, and it now
displays a "you are being redirected" message and a link t...

But neither call did anything at all with "y=". Instead, the behaviour is consistent with what would have happened if 'y=' were "not present at all" when counting position or named argument list, rather than if 'y' were an absent required argument.
It _looks_ as if the initial call parsing silently ignored the malformed expression "y=" before any argument matching - positional or by name - takes place.
But I'm thinking that it'll take an R-core guru to explain what's going on here, so I was going to wait and see.

Call drop and strange CDR records
Hi,
I have some (5-10 per day on an average 250 calls/day) incoming calls
dropped after 25 to 60 seconds.
Asterisk is 1.2.10 + BriStuff 0.3.0-PRE1s on one hand (with 4 ISDN lines...)
Snom 320 SIP IP Phone (release 6.2.3) on the other.
With SIP Debug on, it *_looks_* like a normal call clearing, but the
users are complaining, stating that no one on either end had hanged up.
Doing a "sip debug" on asterisk shows a normal call clear from the snom
(Receiving a SIP BYE frame).
But, the CDR record looks strange (and this is the only common point

Printing woes (Driver uploading, and .tdb annoyances)
...some
progress.
However it looks like there's an issue with installing drivers on a
printer that is't explicitly listed in smb.conf. The symptom I get is
that some printers can have drivers added to them, and some can't. And
some of those that can it doesn't "stick". It _looks_ like it's worked,
and then when you go onto the next step (First client connection) the
driver's not there!
The uploading seems OKay, files appear in the [print$] share and
ntdrivers.tdb gets changed. ntprinters.tdb doesn't though.
2nd point.
Hmmm. All those TDB files in var/loc...
