[LLVMdev] Version Control Upgrade?
...Aegis always struck me as more or less designed to _inhibit_ development! (It really does live up to its name on this point, trust me.) The differences can't _all_ be in my head, I hope! OK, I should at least _try_ to be objective. In contrast to the other VCSs I've used: - Perforce _just works_. By this I mean that it only ever takes effort to make it work _differently_, not to make it work _at all_. I don't want to start a flamewar and so won't mention other VCSs that could be contrasted here, but the differences are certainly there. Getting up and running - Perforce...

How do i switch off error wrapping for a specific field?
Hi, i have some issues with the default rails error wrapping. It wraps errors in a div with class ''fieldsWithError'', which is not good practice in my eyes. Adding a class ''error'' to the field would be much nicer. My solution to the problem: build your own FormBuilder. Funny enough, i found no (nice) possibility to switch error wrapping off while using the

64bit feature in ext4
...upports the 64bit feature of EXT4 since: 2012-07-02: Experimental support for 64-bit http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/grub.git/commit/grub-core/fs/ext2.c?id= 073b57bb8e2d688f33198f97076d01cea4455d7f Since then, there seem to be some additional improvements to the relevant code. Diff since _just-before_ ext4 64bit support was originally introduced in GRUB2 up until now: http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/grub.git/diff/grub-core/fs/ext2.c?id=54 e7dbbcb93b913514e3e9f8f29e6372ea34ff32&id2=2e57f28fc737b9f45d1fc7cbe4a3d 48b7123fe68 Perhaps looking at these specific Diffs in GRUB2 would...

eRuby & Rails: Not Compatible
I''m new to Ruby, Rails, and this list. I''ve tried searching for an answer but it all seems to be over my head. I have all the books but again they seem to leave me on my own to figure out the stuff that really matters. Where is the best place to find out the details? Exactly what are these much celebrated "naming conventions"; i.e. where do I find an exhaustive

[LLVMdev] Version Control Upgrade?
LLVMers, The oversight group has been kicking around the idea of getting a better version control system than CVS. The problem is, we're not quite sure what "better" means. So, we thought we'd ask your opinions. If you're interested in this topic (and you should be if you're actively developing), please have a look at this site:

Changes to get CD to boot on EFI System.
...going to sound as "being negative" to some readers. I don't want to, and I don't like it, but I'd rather not give a false impression. There are no magic bullets. People have to invest their own time to understand how things work. I have said this before: I have not found _just one_ article / blog / post / document explaining everything about UEFI in plain clear words without mixing terminology from "basic UEFI" (i.e. what is originated from the 1600+ UEFI specs pages alone) with some particular UEFI bootloader, or with some particular case, or with some oth...

Right. As I recall it, the FPU/NA issue was a case of configure getting the byte-order wrong and not (as was believed for a while) a problem with non-IEEE...
