Xen-kernel: Update to 4.14 or 4.19?
....9 for some time now, and while it's still supported, I think it's time to start thinking about upgrading, and I'd like input from the community about which version to move up to. 4.19 has been out for almost 5 months now. It will include PVH domU support, and PVH dom0 support in what _is believed_ to be the final form; so when the Virt SIG moves to a version of Xen that supports PVH dom0, the kernel will already be in place with no need to upgrade. The other option would be to move to 4.14: Probably more stable (as it's been out for over a year now), but doesn't have eithe...

[nbdkit PATCH] nbd: Another libnbd version bump
The 0.9.8 release breaks API, requiring a number of changes: - Use symbolic constants instead of magic numbers/open-coded strings (well, the string for "base:allocation" was present before this libnbd bump) - Change callbacks to drop the valid_flag parameter - Add _is to nbd_read_only call - Drop the _callback suffix on nbd_aio_FOO calls - Add a struct for managing callback/user_data at once Signed-off-by: Eric Blake <eblake@redhat.com> --- Pushing, since we're releasing libnbd 0.9.8 today configure.ac | 4 +-- plugins/nbd/nbd.c | 85 ++++++++...

Export variables into other classes
Hi all I have been pondering this for a while, but not yet seen a clean way to do it I have a few puppet classes (apache/ntp/mysql/bacula/nagios/etc) I would like to generate part of my bacula and nagios configs for each host based on which other classes that host belongs to (or to put it another way, I would like to export variables from classes which would be used by my bacula and nagios

...saw that now @ Fedora they don't use hfs-bless any more, see mkefiboot (shipped in lorax/src/sbin). Does somrone know why? The URL http://developer.apple.com/library/mac/#technotes/tn/tn1150.html to the he Technical Note TN1150: HFS Plus Volume Format referenced in mkefiboot is broken. _Is there a chance that I'd succeed in using xorriso instead of mkisofs? I must admit that I never used it and the length of the man page is scaring me. I'd be very grateful to any Thomas who could happen to read this and help me write the command ;) Thanks in advance for any clue, Did...

lda
Dear R-helpers, if I am right a discriminant analysis can be done with "lda". My questions are: 1. What method to discriminate the groups is used by "lda" (Fisher's linar discriminant function, diagonal linear discriminant analysis, likelihood ratio discriminant rule, ...)? 2. How can I see, which method is used? (Typing just lda does not give me any code). Thank you in

barplot() options for intervals on axes
Hello, I am a beginner with R. I read many tutorials and the FAQ but I cannot solve my problem. I use barplot() to view my graph. I try to get more interval marks on y axis. I wasn't able to find options in 'help(barplot)' or 'help(par)' to do this with barplot(). I seek for another option to print y values on my bars like on the graph of the R homepage:

Using syslinux to boot xen without initrd
Erwan, I'm using syslinux v3.85 Gene, the kernel was built using buildroot (and I checked that Xen support was enabled). Didn't try without the menu, will see that now. Also, I saw a short note on syslinux mboot wiki page: "A really good use case for this (using mboot.c32) is booting Xen <http://xensource.com>, or any other hypervisor-based virtualization pieces that also

Isohybrid wiki page and UEFI
...ighly modified is because... It is unmaintained! :-O :). The "real" genisoimage (and any reincarnation of it) might never work with Syslinux; who knows? Or it might; we won't ever know it, as -- guess what? -- genisoimage is UNmaintained. CDRTOOLS (which includes the real mkisofs) _is maintained_. I do understand that you have this already set up, for several distros, other scenarios, other bootloaders... But we are now trying to find out why 'syslinux.efi' fails, aka troubleshooting. You have Thomas here, the developer of xorriso. He is participating in this email t...
