vpn2fw before nordc1918 in ???_in
...to the list, so if you could CC me on replies, it would be appreciated. Hi there. I am running 2.0.8 on a linux 2.6 kernel with ipsec (i.e. no ipsec<n> interfaces). Since ipsec traffic comes in on the same interface as "net" traffic, I have been looking at the rules for "eth0_in" on my ipsec gateway/firewall. I see that "norfc1918" is before "vpn2fw". Since it is common to route rfc1918 addresses over vpn tunnels, would it not make more sense to reverse the order of those two rules? That would eliminate the need to alter the rfc1918 rules file....

[RFC PATCH v1] Decode(float) optimize using libNe10
Hello All, I extended the libNE10 optimizations for float towards mdct_backwards/opus_ifft. I am able to get about 14.26% improvement for Decode use case now on my Beaglebone Black. Please see [1] for measurements. Questions 1. Since this patch needs to go in after Encode [2] patch) should I submit this as patch series? 2. Since Jonathan Lennox posted intrinsics cleanup [3] patch, should

Detecting whether a process exists or not by its PID?

These features cannot be safely used outside of base R > in contributed packages. Yes, _in theory_ this is right, and of course this only works for child processes. _In practice_, you do not need signal handling. The startup time stamp method is completely fine, because it is practically impossible to have two processes with the same pid and the same (high precision) startup time. This...

Question: backslash in file name
Hi I have a applikation (Oracle DB) which writes files with a backslash in names, i.e: Log\GEN_INPUT_BASED_2899.csv not a problem for Unix but Samba present it to Windows users as: L2CYOP~L.CSV Is there any way _in Samba_ to strip this 'Log\' and give back to user the GEN_INPUT_BASED_2899.csv part. Tha appliance (EMC Celerra) I've just migrated data from, was magicaly doing this...

Installling more than one wine version (fwd)
...) and WINEDLLPATH. (man wine) of course, you can choose the executable by calling it by its absolute path name. It's sort of a moving target you picked on. Lawson Oh - did Corel hack the sonames on their version? That would sure stop it working it you install current dll's and winelib _in place of_ the original ones. You can find out by doing ldd on an exectable or library. The sonames it wants are on the left; the files the dynamic linker thinks will make it happy are on the right. Constants aren't, and variables won't. ---cut here ____________________________________...

RPostgreSQL && snowfall
Dear expeRts, I'm currently trying to get data from a PostgreSQL database _in parallel_. I tried two methods: * passing the DBI Connection object to the cluster nodes * connecting the the DB on each node (1) The execution of the first method looks like this: > result = sfClusterApplyLB(input, fun, dbiCon) and produces an "expired PostgreSQLConnection" error. Monitor group calls (recording calls)
Hello there, I appreciate any help about this problem that I can't figure out... I need to record all my calls: this is pretty easy using Monitor() before the Dial(). eg: exten => 425,n,Monitor(wav49,/var/spool/asterisk/monitor/425/${EPOCH}_${CALLERID(num)}_in,mb) exten => 425,n,Dial(${PHONE1},10) Now, I want to create a call group: I mean, I want a number (eg 800) that makes 3,4...10 phones ringing together. I found 2 modes to do this: 1) exten => 800,n,Dial(${PHONE1}&${PHONE2}&${...},15) 2) with Asterisk 1.6: exten => 800,n,Set(DIAL...

I don't understand this
...can't set names(NULL) to 27, _or_ that I would be told the whole thing wasn't allowed. In fact, it was allowed. > x [1] 27 This result has me completely baffled. Is this behaviour intentional? What rules does it follow from? What _exactly_ are the rules for assignment supposed to be _in R_? The emphasis on _in R_ is because I know the New S book spells out a lot of detail, but (a) I've been searching for my copy for a couple of weeks and (b) R is not _exactly_ the same as S.

Fw: Btrfs Samba and Quotas
...;m doing a lot of guessing here.] HFvs> And wouldn't that also be applicable to zfs? I know some about ZFS from a conceptual POV, but not sure if this applies or not. But, my larger general question was: This only applies to btrfs [or perhaps ZFS] when you're trying to enforce a quota _in Samba_ on a set of directories/files where there is a subvolume. Is that correct? And the result is that quota management will essentially be undefined. It doesn't crash things, or corrupt them, but you can't rely on the quota enforcement being accurate/consistent. Is that also correct? S...
