How to make a bootable USB flash drive manually?
I would like to boot Ubuntu 8.04 i386 from my USB flash drive. I was

root at martin-desktop:~#
2) inserted USB flash drive
root at martin-desktop:~# tail -n0 -f /var/log/messages
