iptables & kernel problems on Debian domU
Hi,
I have a Debian 4.0 XEN dom, which is giving me some strange errors on
the kernel when I try and use iptables, as such:
stats:/etc/snmp# iptables -L -v
Note: /etc/modules.conf is more recent than
/lib/modules/2.6.18-8.1.15.el5xen/modules.dep

my domUs have a slow network rate for outside networks.
...tch
running xen 3.0.3. The domain0 is a DL360 G5 with tg3 network card
If i download something from outside my dom0 box to a domU, i get this
network rate: ~865kbits ... and it must be ~ 10Mbits, i think.
Doing some tests with iperf i get this:
[ 4] local outside_server port 5001 connected with _domU_ port 54889
[ 4] 0.0-10.3 sec 4.51 MBytes 3.67 Mbits/sec
outside_server is in other network, i mean other switch.
Network rate between domUs is fine.
Also i have a Xen 3.2 running on ubuntu 8.04 and i don''t have this
network issue.
PS: I read some posts, and i did the ethtool -K et...

Checksumming problem in pv_ops dom0 kernel / netback
Hello,

Our platform:
-Xen 3.4.3-rc3 (also tried 3.4.2 on 2.6.31.6 pv_ops dom0)
-2.6.32.9 pv_ops dom0 kernel, perhaps a week old checkout from xen/stable git (can provide changeset if requested).
-100+ domU''s, all PV.
Ever since we switched to a pv_ops dom0 kernel (we were using 2.6.26

PCI passthrough, poor network performance in upload direction
Hi all,
I have been having an issue for over a year with several Xen installations
and have not been able to find out if this is just something I am missing.
Basically I am trying to configure a firewall with two ethernet cards in a
domU using pci passthrough. I am hiding the Ethernet cards at boot time via
the pciback.hide kernel option.
Right now I am running Xen 3.3.0 and the two Ethernet
