To further clarify, I've spoken to the vendor of the software that's making the connections to the server (Sterling Commerce Connect:Direct) that they intentionally authenticate separately to the file server for every process that they may have running.

NT_STATUS_WRONG_PASSWORD with multiple concurrent connects from same IP Address.
...ng required to join a Windows 2003 AD structure...is this true?...we're moving to Active directory within the next 30 -60 days...

Hi,
We're running a print server having the following specifications:
Samba 3.0.11
Suse 9.1
Kernel 2.6.5-7.108 kernel
A few days back none of the users were able to log onto the print
server. The debug 10 logs show the following lines:
[2005/03/29 11:21:05, 5] auth/auth.c:check_ntlm_password(271)
check_ntlm_password: winbind authentication for user [**user-name**]
FAILED with error
