Default unit tests failing?
I''ve got a strange issue. My default unit tests are failing for two models. I
haven''t changed _anything_ in the test. Here''s an example:

The Sims
I have a copy of the Sims installed on a Win2k FAT32 partition. I know
for a fact that The Sims works under Wine (Mandrake's "Gamer" edition),
but I get an error when I try to run it. The error is as follows:
"Game cannot be started because:
There is not enough memory or hard drive space to run.
Exit now."
I do have plenty of free space and plenty of memory. Does

[PATCH, v3] fix build with XEN and EARLY_PRINTK_DBGP enabled but USB_SUPPORT disabled
Since there''s no possible caller of dbgp_external_startup() and
dbgp_reset_prep() when !USB, there''s no point in building and exporting
these functions in that case. This eliminates a build error under the
conditions listed in the subject, introduced with the merge
f1c6872e4980bc4078cfaead05f892b3d78dea64.

At least 2 _other_ people did, as well as the Red Hat rationales. I never said either

This is what I really _hate_ about these lists. All of the sudden, _anything_

REGARDLESS IF I SAID IT OR NOT! 100% GETS PUT ON MY NAME!
At this point, you are not bothering to accurate listen to what I actually said.

Good point that I should have mentioned earlier. Remember that if
_anything_ in the VM changes (such as a log entry), then the host system
will see the virtual disk as changed and back the whole thing up. You
can end up backing up 20 GiB per day just to accommodate a few KiB
change in the VM.
A lot depends on how you do your backups, but I set things so that if

comments said it should be in the source somewhere in the tarball, so I

Apologies in advance if this is just stating the obvious, but let me try and put some general ideas on the table.
- is anything non-deterministic involved? (Doesn't sound so, but...)
- could it be something with the bytecompiler?
- can you get something (_anything_) to trigger the bug (in any variant) when running R under gdb? I'm thinking gctorture() etc.
- it is odd that you cannot immediately get the same behaviour with R -d gdb or valgrind. Are you sure you are actually running the same script in the same way?
- if you can get a hold of something insi...

Also my suspicion, can you try without having JIT enabled?

...v or whatever? If not, no problem; I was just
hoping for an elegant solution to my particular problem. :-)
queue1 - read/write by group1
queue2 - read/write by group1 & group2 through solaris ACLs
BTW, if any file whatsoever in queue2 is not readable by group2, those
in group2 cannot read _anything_ in queue2.

unlisting a list with names components (PR#645)
hi -
i apologize if this is a duplicate.
i think the lines below demonstrate a problem with unlist when the list
contains components that are names. _anything_ can go in a list,
right? this came up in the context of trying to
unlist(list(attr(terms(formula), "variables")).
perhaps unrelated but i thought i'd mention: unlist() complains about a
call/formula object, but sapply() does not (a call certainly "looks"
like a list, but i...
