[PATCH v10 0/2] s390: virtio: let arch validate VIRTIO features
Hi all, The goal of the series is to give a chance to the architecture to validate VIRTIO device features. The tests are back to virtio_finalize_features. No more argument for the architecture callback which only reports if the architecture needs guest memory access restrictions for VIRTIO. I renamed the callback to arch_has_restricted_virtio_memory_access, and the config option to

...r." The I/O accessors are one of the few places in which 'volatile' generally makes sense, at least for the implementations that do a plain pointer dereference (probably none of the ones in question here). In case of readl/writel, this is what we do in asm-generic: static inline u32 __raw_readl(const volatile void __iomem *addr) { return *(const volatile u32 __force *)addr; } The __force-cast that removes the __iomem here also means that the 'volatile' keyword could be dropped from the argument list, as it has no real effect any more, but then there are a few drivers that...

[PATCH v3 0/4] iomap: Constify ioreadX() iomem argument
Hi, Multiple architectures are affected in the first patch and all further patches depend on the first. Maybe this could go in through Andrew Morton's tree? Changes since v2 ================ 1. Drop all non-essential patches (cleanups), 2. Update also drivers/sh/clk/cpg.c . Changes since v1 ================ https://lore.kernel.org/lkml/1578415992-24054-1-git-send-email-krzk at

Problems when using latest git tree to boot xen on OMAP5
Hi Julien, Since Ian has merged most my OMAP5 patches, I decide to try to update my working tree to it today. However, it seems it doesn't work as expected. There mainly two kind of problems that I met: 1. It seems that xen no longer maps some of io memory regions described in dts. For example, the memory regions in "ocp" node of omap5.dtsi. 2. commit c88d32f4 seems to be conflict
