Hello list, I want to migrate from samba 3.0.14a to 3.0.2* . Now my question ; is it possible to keep the winbindd_idmap.tdb with new installation, because keeping that relations is a __MUST__ , otherwise i would have to run some unix scripts over the user directories to fix uids and gids of them. Samba and Wnibind are designed to upgrade cleanly. And this works for me. I've had one report of problems but have not been able to confirm that as of yet. cheers, jerry ===...

...e a service-pack installed, on every new installation of a component (TCP/IP protocol, RAS, ...) after new files are added from NT distributive CD (or, actually, any other available source - I did not have the CD by hands, and downloaded quite promiscuous), BEFORE REBOOT the machine, you ABSOLUTELY __MUST__ re-install current service pack, and only after that you can reboot!
