Re: [virt-tools-list] Linux host / Windows guest sharing
The spice-vdagent should be running in the guest. Have you installed the spice guest tools in your windows guest? Download them here: http://www.spice-space.org/download.html
That should get clipboard sharing working.

Snapshots vs filesystem shares
...ying that, `mount` hangs when trying to
mount a filesystem share again *after* restoring the snapshot
(unmounting and remounting works perfectly before that, of course).
Nothing is reported in syslog.
I've also tried unloading combinations of the various 9p and virtio
related modules (like 9p, 9pnet_virtio, 9pnet, virtio, etc) before
taking the snapshot, and then reload them after restoring it, in hope of
getting them into a sane state again (or whatever is the issue). But
then I've seen errors like this in syslog:
9pnet: Installing 9P2000 support
virtio-pci 0000:00:08.0: irq 42 for MSI/...

Quite a lot of core work here. Jason are you still looking into
hardening?

Have you used this setup recently?
With my 3.15.0+ kernel, qemu-system-x86_64 substituted for qemu-kvm, and the
path changed from your arguments I get:
9pnet_virtio: no channels available
VFS: Cannot open root device "root" or unknown-block(0,0): error -2
Please append a correct "root=" boot option; here are the available partitions:

[PATCH v2 0/5] remove unused gnulib modules
This is an extended version of:
https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2019-September/msg00178.html
It adds a couple of simple code changes, so it makes it possible to
drop more modules. In addition, more unused modules were dropped.

[PATCH v3 0/6] remove unused build stuff
This is an extended version of:
https://www.redhat.com/archives/libguestfs/2019-September/msg00288.html
Apparently I forgot it on my tree, so I'm posting that series again,
adding an extra cleanup more due to the v2v/common splits.

[PATCH 00/10] virtio: sparse fixes
I run latest sparse from git on virtio drivers
(turns out the version I had was rather outdated).
This patchset fixes a couple of bugs this uncovered,
and adds some annotations to make it sparse-clean.
In particular, endian-ness is often tricky,
so this patchset enabled endian-ness checks for sparse
builds.
