Managesieve fails to retrieve scripts > 8kB on Dovecot 1.1.16
...kB in order to be retrieved by a managesieve client. I have been using managesieve for about 6 months over as many 1.1.n versions of dovecot as have been around during that time and hit this problem when I upgraded to Dovecot 1.1.16. I have gone back to Dovecot 1.1.15 and can once again manage my 9kB sieve script remotely. Symptoms were that managesieve login was OK but instead of displaying my sieve script, the script editing window was empty. After 30 seconds the client gave me a timeout message. If I entered a small script in the empty client edit window and saved it, the new, small scrip...

LLVM-C.dll in LLVM release 10 seem to be incomplete/missing export directory
Hello, I downloaded the LLVM 10 release for windows and noticed, that the LLVM-C.dll for x86 has a size of 9kb, which seems strangely small. Both, the dll for x86 and x64, have no export directory. It is not possible to link them statically to Delphi code or call GetProcAddress on them. I do remember that this worked initially when https://reviews.llvm.org/D56774 was done when compiling the dll using cmak...

How to make patch available to the general public
Hi All, I have a patch for the ssh client, which enables clear text password input from the command line. I want to make it available to the general public. Is there a place to make the patch available from, such as a wiki website? Shall I just post it to the mailing list? It is a small patch (9KB). -- Cheers, Filippo

buffer overruns for small files
I wonder if anyone would have a comment on an experiment I have pretty much completed in my MFC/C++ project. With my simple libvorbis implementation, ogg decoding works just fine for files that are 10kb or larger. For anything smaller (actually, I don't have a 9kb file, so <= 8), it seems that I get an inaccurate value for ov_pcm_total. Though ov_read returns zero, I overflow the buffer and crash on ov_clear. These are my TRACE statements: >= 10kb: Opening Audio File 'no_0.ogg' vi->channels = '2' vi->rate = '44100' pcm...

Inode/Blocksize questions
Hi! I'm going to build a maildir-based mailserver with a ~56 gb mail-partition. What blocksize/bytes-per-inode/number of inodes should i use (i don't want to ran out of inodes and don't want to sacrifice too much space for filefragments)? Is there a drawback when lowering the blocksize/increasing the number of inodes (except the maximum filesystem size)? The inodes used by a file is

library migration plan
...be able to link to both the old and new-scheme libraries at the same time without confusion. In practice it will probably be fine because both copies of the "old" api will call into their respective copies of the same implementation code. The "old" api emulation layer is only 9kB, but it would be nice if there were a configure-time switch to disable it for embedded builds of libtheoradec, like --disable-encode with libtheora. Anyone wants to make the build system do this, please go ahead. :) -r

Ogg Traffic for April 15, 2003
..., and proceeded with floor decode and residue decode, leaving no stone unturned. The code for codebook decode is now mature enough for heavy-duty assembly optimizations, according to [9]this message. The memory requirements for codebook decode have gone down from about 70kB to a mere 9kB for Vorbis 1.0 files and from 300kB to 40kB for early betas (which used considerably larger codebooks than the 1.0 encoder.) Comparisons for floor and residue decode are not available yet, since these parts are still under construction, but so far, things are looking really promising....
