bin/55346: /bin/sh eats memory and CPU infinitely
Hi! It seems /bin/sh in 4.8-STABLE has problem with SIGCHLD processing. In short, it often fails to process it correctly, zombies float around, jobs are not marked as finished in jobtab[] that fills memory and takes much CPU to be processed. Run this one-liner using /bin/sh and see hundreds of zombies: #!/bin/sh while :; do : & done A kernel will halt this as soon as it reaches limits and

[PATCH] drmmode: update logic for dynamic connectors, paths, and tiles
This largely copies the code from modesetting with minor adjustments. Signed-off-by: Ilia Mirkin <imirkin at alum.mit.edu> --- I've tested this back and forth with a GTX 960 + 2x U2415 monitors, chained to each other. I turned them on/off. I messed with their DP 1.1/1.2 settings. I pulled plugs a few times. This seems to pass the test. No crashes, the connectors seem to come and go just fine. When plugging back in, X server doesn't redo a modeset even though it cl...

[RFC PATCH 00/34] iommu: Move iommu_group setup to IOMMU core code
Hi, here is a patch-set to remove all calls of iommu_group_get_for_dev() from the IOMMU drivers and move the per-device group setup and default domain allocation into the IOMMU core code. This eliminates some ugly back and forth between IOMMU core code and the IOMMU drivers, where the driver called iommu_group_get_for_dev() which itself called back into the driver. The patch-set started as a
