one printer doesn't print under samba
I have a problem I hope someone can help with.
I have TLS 6.0 set up to provide print services to Win98 clients using
samba. There are two printers, an HP LaserJet 4050 and an HP DeskJet 950C,
both attached to separate JetDirect 170 print servers. The HP4050 works

at port 9100 (the default for JetDirect's). Then I created the print share as
you did in Samba. I did have to include the print commands to get it
to work properly (i.e. print command = lpr -l -r -P%p %s). I have shared
an HP LaserJet 4050 and a DeskJet 950C this way. Works woderfully.
Under most Unix implemenations LPR allows redirecting of print jobs to
another queue or IP. This is what you want to do.
HP might even have their JetDirect software ported to HP/UX but I'm not
familiar that.
Hope this helps.
