SELinux context for web application directories
...r deployment practice is to place the 'family' directory under /var/data/. This is the home directory of the application user id. We place each individual web application or component into its own directory underneath the family root. So that things look like this: /var/data/hll_th ├── backups │?? └── pgsql ├── etc │?? └── database.yml ├── hll_th_cc_edi_get │?? ├── current -> /...

FWD <> SIP <> Asterisk <> IAX <> Firefly
Hello, In my sip.conf I have: ;Register and forward FWD numbers to internal extensions register => FWDNUMBER:PASSWORD@fwd.pulver.com/9500 Which should register Asterisk at FWD and then when any calls are made to FWDNUMBER those calls should be forwarded to extension 9500 as specified in the extensions.conf. What I am getting is it is trying to dial the 9500 (IAX Firefly) client twice when a call is made to FWDNUMBER. The output fr...

3Ware 9500 vs 9550 vs CentOS 4.latest kernel
Is anyone having issues with these particular cards (especially the newer SATAII variant) and the stock CentOS kernels? Are they well supported enough such that a "yum update" suffices to keep them synced up with patches without having to hand edit the kernel or build special modules from 3Ware each time? Cheers,

OT: RH 4/5 and 3Ware 9500 firmware upgrades
I've just noticed that 3Ware has a more current version of the firmware for the 9500S than I have on several machines. All of mine are running: 3w-9xxx: scsi0: Firmware FE9X 3.04.00.005, BIOS BE9X 3.04.00.002, Ports: 8. and the latest rev appears to be 3.08. I'm wondering if there is any compelling reason to upgrade or just let these sleeping dogs lie. :) Any sage (or o...

how to merge distance data based on location
...ach row represents a segment of the genome where a deletion has occurred. First column is start position of the deletion in genomic distance, second is end position. So, e.g., first 3 rows of data frame A is: 1003 1023 5932 6120 12348 12689 first 3 rows of data frame B is: 852 5305 1010 1015 8500 9500 10000 13000 I want to merge based on distance, such that each row will be deletions that overlap. So I'd like: 1003 1023 852 5305 1010 1015 5932 6120 8500 9500 12348 12689 10000 13000 Does anyone have ideas about how to accomplish this? Thank you, Matthew Keller -- Matthew C Keller...

Handling invalid extensions
Hi, I was wondering how other people might handle this situation. We have a 10 channel fractional E1 and have so far only allocated about 25 numbers out of a 100 number block (9500 - 9599). If an external caller dials an invalid extension then we would like for them to be put through to our main number. In order to make for a short and simple extensions.conf we have defined our incoming context along the lines of: exten => _123495XX,1,Dial(SIP/${EXTEN:4},16,tr) exten =&g...

Asterisk PBX Functions via SIP phone
Hi All, I am using a Grandstream BT100 and I have been trying to get the PBX features to work for DND, call foward, etc. These functions do work when I use my POTS phones hooked up to my Zap cards. But I cannot get the PBX functions (ie *78, *79) to work using my SIP phones. Is there a feature that has to be enabled to do this? I know these functions are available within the GS phone but all of

obscure error with subsetting as.list() of a function then assigning that a (PR#9500)
Hello. I was writing some code that computes on the language and came across this. I can work around it, but thought you might like to know about it. > f <- function(x) { NULL } > a <- as.list(f)[[1]] > a # ie print(a) Error: argument "a" is missing, with no default Note it says *argument* "a", which is strange. In fact, and unsurprisingly, the bug lies with

Execution halts after some time.
Dear all, I fit independent GLMs for a 2x2 factorial problem on the data matrix of size 9500 x 12 (genes x arrays) and get 9500 observed t-values using the apply() function. Now, I wish to get the permutated p-values. Therefore I random sample the class labels and perform the glm fitting to get the t-values from which I can get the p-values. This is done using a for() loop. Is there a more...
