floppy image issues
Hi! sorry for the top post. I have had some troubles in the past trying to make equipment to boot a floppy with MS-DOS that also used ms networking to access the network. Particularly the Gateway GSX 500 cannot have the onboard NIC with PXE enabled, as it eats about 92k of highmemory, which in turn makes impossible to start Windows XP setup due to low memory. On that particular machine I had to disable PXE boot in order to make the damn thing boot my floppy. This is a BIOS problem, and apparently not solvable on it's own. There will be issues in the future,...

For building my local repo, how large is 5.4 update?
I have run a local repo for Centos updates for some time. I suppose, at this point I could just delete the 5.3 update directory and rsync the 5.4 directory... But how large is the 5.4 update directory? Oh, just for i386, without /debug and is there anything else I should not include? For example for my FC11 update repo I also exclude drpms.

Mongrel 0.3.12.5 -- Pre-Release with File Upload whyness
...ploading files much more efficiently and for streaming out files via a HttpResponse.send_file call. I re-wrote the file upload part what why created to refactor that whole process. It now handles quite a few corner cases related to efficient file uploads: * Writes to a Tempfile if greater than 92k. * Deletes the Tempfile if the user aborts the upload (closed socket). * Detects when not enough was uploaded to match the reported Content-length * Simplifies the upload chunking logic so there''s the same socket read loop whether you''re uploading a large or small file. The...

64-bit OS, WINE and Memory (size) related question.
Having avoided them for some time now, based on compatibility concerns as I began to learn and use Linux full time, I?ve recently gotten the urge to start playing around with some 64-bit distro?s. The benefit of course is running more than the 4Gb (system-wide) limit imposed by a 32-bit OS. In my current system I only have 2Gb (2x1Gb) of RAM so I?m thinking of either adding 4Gb (2x2Gb) or even

panic in e100_exec_cb()
With today''s build, my domain 0 crashes during boot when it tries to bring eth0 up (it''s an E100). cb->prev (eax) is NULL in e100_exec_cb() (e100.c:827). Just from code inspection, I don''t see how this can be. e100_alloc_cbs() was just called, which looks like it should have correctly linked up all the cb->prev/cb->next pointers. It happens regardless of
