Example, my data is something like: mydat <- data.frame(tree= 1:10, serra=rep(1:2, c(5,5)), bt01= 101:110, bt02= 201:210, bt03= 301:310, mm01= 9101:9110, mm02= 9201:9210, mm03= 9301:9310) > mydat tree serra bt01 bt02 bt03 mm01 mm02 mm03 1 1 1 101 201 301 9101 9201 9301 2 2 1 102 202 302 9102 9202 9302 3 3 1 103 203 303 9103 9203 9303 4 4 1 104 204 304 9104 9204 9304 5 5 1 105 205 305 91...

Unable to save a plot containing Chinese (two-byte) Characters (PR#9201)
Full_Name: Pavel Stranak Version: 2.3.1 OS: Mac OS X Submission from: (NULL) (195.113.20.81) Whenever I draw a plot containing Chinese character, it draws fine on screen, but never saves to a file. It does not matter, whether I first draw it on screen and than save or draw straight to pdf. It is also all the same, whether the characters are in label or in the plot itself (via "pch=..."

Third-party SATA-RAID cards suggestions
...should preferably be able to connect ten harddrives, but I guess three four-port cards should work as well. There's no need for anything fancy really, as long as I can create a single big software-raid on it at CentOS install-time. So far I've tried a Highpoint RocketRAID 2740 and a LSI 9201-16i without too much success. Internal DNS replication and how to fix
Hi All, First, off I'm a bit of a n00b w/Samba4 so I'll apologize ahead of time if any of this seems obvious/trivial. I'm working with Samba RC1 tar build and trying to get DNS replication working. Right how I get the following under --snip-- ==== KCC CONNECTION OBJECTS ==== Connection -- Connection name: fa253d86-3549-4208-ab29-a0d702ccdb02 Enabled : TRUE Server DNS name

mpt_sas multipath problem?
...appear to the OS with multipath device names (despite the fact that these internal drives are cabled up in a single-path configuration). If anything, this does confirm that multipath is enabled in mpt_sas.conf via the mpxio-disable="no" directive (internal HBA''s are LSI SAS, 2x 9201-16i and 1x 9211-8i). The JBOD is a SuperMicro 847E26-RJBOD1, with the front backplane daisy-chained to the rear backplane (both expanders). Each of the two expander chains is connected to one port of an LSI SAS 9200-8e HBA. So far, all this hardware has appeared as working for others and well-su...

Goodness-of-fit
Hi, I want to perform goodness of fit test for multinominal distribution. The easiest way would be to use Chi2, but the measurment errors are not normally distributed. I thought about using some bootstraping method to perform the analysis. How can I do it in R? Sweave - print \n ?
Hi, this is probably quite stupid but I have no clue what's wrong. Let's say I write the function hline <- function() { cat("\\hline \n") } and call hline() from within a Sweave chunk. Why is there no carriage return after the \hline in the resulting tex file? if I call hline() hline() in the chunk, then I get \hline \hline in the tex code without a linebreak in

There's some information about the issue here http://trac.sagemath.org/sage_trac/ticket/9201 Does anyone have any suggestions? In particular, do you consider the failure of one or more of those modules sufficiently serious that the build of R should stop, or do you consider some failures like this not so serious, and so it is right for the build to continue?
