pdbedit -P "password history" doesn't work !!
Hi !
This is my firs post here. I've got a problem with password history
policy -C 3 which doesn't work !!
I set policy
pdbedit -P "maximum password age" -C 777600 (90days)
pdbedit -P "minimum password age" -C 691200 (80days)
"user must logon to change password" -C 2
"password history" -C 3
On clients (XP PRO) some of people doesn't see warrning with "password
expired" information and password histor...

user must change password, works in ursmgr.exe but not with pdbedit
...only problem I have is that it
is impossible to force user to change password on next logon from
pdbedit. It is possible to set this trough usrmgr.exe but its not really
convenient when adding multiple users with a script or remote managing
over ssh.
Policy set for the domain:
maximum password age 90days
minimum password age 1day
min password length 6chars
password history 5
After searching this mailinglist and web for ways to do this it seems that
pdbedit --pwd-must-change-time=(0 or current time) 'username'
should do the trick (the man file for pdbedit or the samba manual does
not ment...

sambaPwdMustChange attribute didn't get updated (3.0.27a)
Hi there,
i got into some trouble after updating my samba installation to 3.0.27a.
My installation uses Samba-3.0.27a,OpenLDAP-2.2.13,smbldap-tools-0.9.2
as a PDC NT4-domain.Originally I used the installation-guide from
smbldap-tools and everything worked fine. I also limited the access to
LDAP as told in the installation-guide with no problems.
