wilcox.exact function (PR#8856)
Full_Name: Patrick Hodgson
Version: 2.0
OS: solaris 2.9
Submission from: (NULL) (65.94.128.161)
The value reported for the parameter W in the function wilcox.exact appears to
be incorrect. I have checked the reference in the help file for this function
(Myles & Hollander 1973, as well as 2nd ed. 1999 by same authors) and it is
clear that W is the sum of the ranks of the data set with the

Thus, I pulled btrfsck from git and ran:

Weighting recent results
I did some digging and found a thread from 2011 talking about how to
subclass Xapian::PostingSource in order to incorporate the date or
recency of a document in its weighting:
http://thread.gmane.org/gmane.comp.search.xapian.general/8849/focus=8856
As in that thread, I want to be clear that I don't want to sort by date,
but rather incorporate date information into the score by which I sort
the results. I may be able to stumble around and figure this out, but I
wonder if any current xapian users have done something like this and how

Use a different character set for a specific program on wine
...extended ASCII. The program (an electronic health records program) will display garbage by default if you don't set the encoding correctly in which to represent the data. If you set the encoding correctly, you see meaningful Arabic.
What wine currently does is that it displays the data in ISO-8856-1 encoding (my best guess from what I am seeing).
Here's the Question: How can you tell wine to use a specific character set for a non-Unicode enabled program?
I searched online and on this website and couldn't find an answer. So I am posting here.

Calculate Distance and Aggregate Data?
Hi all,
I've been struggling learning R and need to turn to the list again.
I've got a dataset (comma-delimited file) with the following fields: recid, latitude, longitude, population, dwelling and age. For each observation, I'd like to calculate the total number of people and dwellings and average age within 2 k.m. Distance could be Euclidean, however, a proper distance

Tyan K8SRE troubles with CentOS 4.4 i386
We have been seeing failures with CentOS 4.4 i386 (not x86_64) running
compute-intensive programs on Tyan K8SRE (S2891) Tymotherboards, running
Opteron 265's. This motherboard is used in the Tyan barebones box GT24
(B2881). We have these boards populated with 8GB of RAM, consisting of
mixed 2GB and 1GB sticks.
The symptom is that CPU-bound programs (may or may not be related to

VoIP Provider
Hi,
I am just about to move out from my parents home and think about how I
will phone from now on. In Germany there is a provider (QSC) who
offers DSL (1024 down/256 up) with fastpath without volume or time
limits.
Does anybody know a comercial (or even semi-professional) provider who
lets me dial out through H323 (or another protocol) and also offers an
number where I can be called from

Snom 360 problems
Anyone have a Snom they're happy with? How did you manage that? :)
I have a system of:
Asterisk 1.2.3
2 Wildcard TDM400P Rev I and E/F
1 Snom 360 + sidecar
~15 Sipura/Linsys SPA-841
~15 Grandstream 101
Everything (currently) is on the same network, not a router to be seen
between any two. Also everything, except the snom, is working sweetly.
The main problem is ECHO.. awful echo and
