Updated patch for 8824?
I don't suppose anybody has an updated CalledID patch for Asterisk 1.4.26: https://issues.asterisk.org/view.php?id=8824 I've been running 1.4.21.1 for a while and have the need to update one of our Asterisk Conference/Faxserver/switches and wanted to see if the patch available would apply. It failed in several places. This keeps me from updating my other installs. Doug -- Ben Franklin quote: "Th...

wishlist: summary for regression models to report number of omitted cases because of NAs (PR#8824)
Full_Name: Ulrike Gr?mping Version: 2.3.0 OS: Windows Submission from: (NULL) (84.190.150.205) Whenever any observations are excluded from a regression analysis (lm, glm, and other similar procedures) because of missing values, I would find it very useful if this fact is directly visible from the output. I think that the information should not only be available (I can e.g. look at length of the

Called party identification - where to take called name?
Hello, I am trying to apply the "called party identification" patch (patch 8824) and managed to make it work with a static data. Where do I take the name of the called person (the "equivalent" of CALLERID, but the other way...)? BTW, one note to the above patch: To make it work the device should have the parameter sendrpid set to true....

Update Caller-ID after Dial()
Can you confirm that currently there is no way to update the caller ID via the manager interface once the B leg is ringing or connected? Looks like this would be feasible with the functions introduced in https://issues.asterisk.org/view.php?id=8824 ("[patch] Remote (called) Party Identification - chan_sip & chan_skinny implementation"). Such functionality could be desirable in situations when a custom callerid number to name lookup takes more time than I am willing to spend before Dial()ing. Philipp Kempgen -- AMOOMA Gmb...

Example: I have some numbers and names in asterisk database ( cidname, cidnum), and I want to display the name of person on my phone ( which has no addressbook, but can display chars ) which I am calling to be sure that I have dialed the right number. Thank you for any answer. Andrej

Connected Line ID for Asterisk 1.4
Hi, We're using the Pickup app on a customer's site with Linksys phones. Is there any way to display the callerid of the phone call you've picked up in 1.4? I assume (rightly or wrongly) that this is connected line ID. Basically, the phones are displaying 79 on the screen (the number the dial for pickup) - as you'd expect, but they'd like to see the CID of the person who

Show Callee name on Display
We have users with Cisco 7900 phones running sip. When user A calls user B, we want user B's name to appear on user A's phone. It shows the extension they call, but not the internal name of the called user. Is this possible? We have some people that used to be on an MGCP based system and they would get the callee's name popup on their phone when they called someone. I

transferring callerid ?
I'm expanding our tiny asterisk setup with a couple of external SIP phones, and I've just noticed the issue of the callerid not being displayed on an attended transfer. This bug seems to deal with it: http://bugs.digium.com/print_bug_page.php?bug_id=8824 I'm surprised that this hasn't been dealt with a long time ago - is there perhaps a work-around that I'm not aware of? /Per Jessen, Z?rich

Display name when dialing on Polycom
I have a customer who wants the Polycoms to display the CallerID name of the person they called on the phone they are calling from. The receiving phone gets CID just fine, but the calling phone doesn't display a name. For instance, if you dialed extension 3000, the Polycom Displays "3000(3000)" Instead of "John Doe (3000)". How do I set that up? Yours, Michael

call picking and transfers
Howdy, Working on some niche requests from one of my hotel clients. asterisk 1.4.20-1 on CentOS, Polycom 501s. The first request is for the Polycom's screen to show the CID of the inbound caller when a call pick is executed, so the picker knows if the call is internal or external. I have already "worked around" this issue by using ALERT info to give seperate ring tones for

RPID on SNOM phones?
Hello, I am running Asterisk 1.4 with the RPID patch (8824) in order to display the name of the *called* person. It works on Cisco and Polycom phones, but not on SNOM. The local SNOM dealer claims that he saw it working, but he cannot give me more details. Has anyone managed to make it working? Thanks, __Yehavi: ------...

Remote-Party-ID implementation on trunk

I've tried the latest trunk (202183) with the same config file. It works ok for local extensions, but for extensions routed via a gateway no name is displayed. Any i...
