Hi, I compiled drm & xf86-video-nouveau to test nouveau yesterday -- the X server couldn't start. Today, Telek pointed me to drm/linux-core/drm_pciids.h, where I added my card. This made nouveau detect my card, and the xerver started successfully. I didn't test further -- for example I didn't compile the mesa nouveau code to enable 3D. So what should I test ? Snark PS1:

...'ve been getting max 10 FPS in Oblivion, even with extremely low graphics settings. Any ideas why? I didn't have any problems with running Oblivion on Windows, and even for Wine this seems quite low. I think it might be my graphics card drivers possibly. OS: Ubuntu 9.10 Karmic GPU: nVidia 8600M GT CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo @ 2 GHz GPU Driver: Version 195 (I got it by going System -> Administration -> Hardware Drivers, and then Enabling it). My problem: After some time playing WoW (about 1-2 minutes) the whole screen turns white. Everything else seems to work perfectly, I still have sound and I still can interact with my character. I can even open a terminal (blindfolded) and type 'killall WoW.exe' to quit WoW and make the white screen go away. wine --version outputs 'wine-1.1.37' I use the propiertary nVidia drivers

Well, It's my first time running a wine client, yet I can't run the desired app I want. I am trying to run Stalker using Darwine 1.1.0 wih Xquartz and all the other stuf installed, om my macbook pro (OSX 10.5.4, Xcode) with the specs: 2,4 ghz intel dualcore, 256mb nvidia 8600m gt, 4gb ram and plenty of disc space. ...install the latest Xorg updates my unit will only boot to a black screen after rebooting. I determined it was Xorg after installing the Kernel and Xorg updates seperatly. I have tried numerous times, and the cause is the Xorg current update (see the above attached link). My video card is the Nvidia 8600M GT 128MB, but the driver is nouveau.
