fsck.ext4 Failed to optimize directory
...ry time I run fsck.ext4 on this partition.
How can I fix this? The file system seems to work ok otherwise, I can
mount it and it doesn't complain, using it looks like it's ok, etc.

So, my question is, how can I make CentOS automatically configure this
interface when the link comes back up? It's a bit annoying having to log
in and do ifup eth2 every time...

acs_map
I'm having trouble compiling wine on a newish box.
The problem is a missing symbol 'acs_map' cropping up in
dlls/ttydrv/graphics.o. The symbol is not directly in the relevant
source file so it seems to be from a macro or typedef but extensive
grepping has not identified the source. I suspect the problem is a
package missing in the distro (dRock 1.6.0) but have not been able to

Did I do something wrong?
It seems like a record, but every single program I have tried to run under wine that is not included by default on the wine install (Simcity 4, Spotify and itunes) seems to crash 100% of the time (or in the case of itunes not work correct at all)
I have the latest version of wine, and I'm wondering if I did something wrong that is causing wine to fail so horribly (I have Ubuntu 11.10)

Problen with vsftpd and chroot
I'm setting up a local mirror server on a CentOS4 box. I want it to serve
files over http, nfs and ftp.
I've set this up with the mirrored directories on a separate partition.
I've got the http and nfs working but am having some trouble with ftp.
I'm using vsftpd as the ftp server. I can log in to the ftp server and get
to the pub (/var/ftp/pub) directory. However when I try

And, is there a way to avoid this problem in the future, if I move

I connect a drive to another port?

Likely mem leak in 3.7
Starting with 3.7 rc1, my workstation seems to loose ram.
Up until (and including) 3.6, used-(buffers+cached) was roughly the same
as sum(rss) (taking shared into account). Now there is an approx 6G gap.
When the box first starts, it is clearly less swappy than with <= 3.6; I
can''t tell whether that is related. The reduced swappiness persists.
It seems to get worse when I update

Thank you very much in advance,
