Setting constraints in the glm package
Hi,
I would like to set a constraint on the fixed effect estimates in a GLM
model, such as b1=b2. Is this possible in the glm package? Similarly I would
like to set some to equal zero too. I have tried searching the information
with this package, but I can't find anything for this.
Thanks in advance for any help!

problems deleting folders
I've been having this problem for quite some time now of not being able
to remove folders. I'm using:
Fedora Core 2
dovecot-0.99.10.4-4
And dovecot is setup as using imaps (w/ SSL) and mbox files (instead of
maildir).
I've done a small amount of tracing to see what the problem is, and it
looks like what happens is when all messages in a folder is removed,
there's still a

Key combination that removes all R objects
Dear readers,
There is a combination of keys that I have (on several occasions now)
typed by accident into R (2.10.0) which removes all the objects in the
environment, and clears the console, as though I had typed
rm(list=ls()).
Unfortunately I don't know what the combination of keys are, so I am
struggling to find out more about this behaviour on my own and I was
hoping that someone has

Hello,
I would like to replace one of the disks in a raid 1 array (software
raid) in centos 4.4 for the purpose of saving the removed drive as a
backup of the system. Replace it with a new disk and have the raod
resync. That way the removed disk can be used to restore the system
to that point in time if something dramatic occured.
I have a number of questions, I can?t find the answers

How 'bout PAM? /usr/ports/security/pam_ldap. If you have machines that
can't do PAM, perhaps NIS is the way to go (assuming, of course, you're
behind a firewall). You can store login information in LDAP like you want,
then use a home-grown script to extract the information to a NIS map. Or,
if you have a Solaris 8 machine lying around, you can cut out the middle
step and use

3.6.10 file handle leak under ancient 32-bit kernel
Hello,
I've come across a curious issue with
Samba 3.6.10.
When running 'emacs' version
GNU Emacs 23.3.1 (i386-mingw-nt6.0.6002) of 2011-03-10 on 3249CTO
on Windows Server 2008 SP2 x64 and issuing
a file "revert" of one sort or another
against a Samba-served file, the 'smbd'
process leaks two or three handles.
Eventually, when 16k handles are open,
this causes

On a side note, try recently released health report tool, and see if it
does diagnose any issues in setup. Currently you may have to run it in all
the three machines.
