And then we it finally boots I get:

I am running xen-unstable.
The driver domain is Ubuntu HVM guest.
It is a VT-d system.

the same kickstart file to work for other machines, so hardcoding those in

CentOS to support ICH9
Hi,
full ICH9 support for Centos 5 can be found
http://fs12.vsb.cz/hrb33/pub/ Take it as a workaround until CentOS 5.1
is released. I hope ICH9 to be included in this version. Support is done
by backporting from new kernel versions. Delta file is created with
mkdeltaiso from CentOS-5.0-i386-bin-DVD.iso, so full image can be
created with applydeltaiso.

David Hrb??

Xen 3.2.1, Intel DQ35JO tips
...t a pci=nommconfig option, but my Gentoo
2.6.21 Xen kernel didn''t. The solution was to build the kernel without
MMCONFIG. A temporary workaround is to boot with acpi=off, but you
won''t get SMP support if you turn off ACPI.
(Confirmed with BIOS 0882 and 0559)
2. The on-board 82566DM-2 Ethernet chip is supported by the e1000e
driver, not the old e1000 driver. You can get it from Sourceforge.
(I''m running kernel 2.6.21)
3. VT-d is not available unless you enable it on the Xen command line
(not just in the BIOS). Xen prints a non-intuitive error message

PXELINUX 4.10-pre17 and newer Dell OptiPlex/Latitude/Precision
Shantanu, let's continue here.
You first noticed this on a Dell OptiPlex 755. I think it covers all Dell
OptiPlex/Latitude/Precision models that are PCIe based with Intel LoM (LAN
on motherboard) utilizing the BIOS PXE OROM, based on the similarity of
these systems. The symptoms are that PXELINUX requests pxelinux.cfg/<UUID>
by TFTP (but it might not strictly be a TFTP issue) when not

[PATCH] x86: change IO-APIC ack method default for single IO-APIC systems
...of the ''new'' ack
method was only to address issues with certain chipsets silently
setting up alternative IRQ routes when RTEs in secondary IO-APICs got

Here some data on the hardware the issue was reportedly found on:

* intel 82566DM NIC
* intel ICH8R (82801H)
* Marvell 88SE6101 IDE controller
* nVidia 8600GT graphics
* intel Q6600 CPU

Can we disable secondary_bus_reset in runtime?
I think we need this feature at least for debugging purpose, right?
Or, do we already have this feature?
Thanks,
Neo

the time by creating a new 70-persistent-net.rules file with the devices
enumerated in order. However, this no longer works now.
