can't start csh (scripts) (PR#8220)
Dear R developers,
after upgrading from R 2.1.1 to 2.2.0 I can't start csh (scripts) anymore.
While the following commands work fine
> system("tcsh -c pwd")
/hom1/users/gloeckler
> system("bash -c pwd")
/hom1/users/gloeckler
> system("ksh -c pwd")
/hom1/users/gloeckler
csh (in contrast to the shells used above) doesn't give any result:

[*] The problem is that under heavy load in dom0 (or IO operation like
performing the daily backups) I get a lot of "Time went backwards, etc."
and sometimes (per 1-2 months) it crashes (freezes). The hw is a TYAN
VX-50 w/ 4 Dual-Opteron 8220 CPUs and 4 500G WD RAID ED. discs (pairwise
in software raid1, so the total capacity is ~1TB). Unfortunately the
onboard NV SATA controller did not work under XEN so an ADAPTEC PCI card
had to be installed.
So any hints or URLs are welcome,

super high bandwidth codec
I've just gotten off a skype conference call and it pisses me off that
the quality of skype is higher than my asterisk calls.
Is there such a thing as a super high bandwidth codec?
In a situation that you have the bandwidth to share is there something
that I can use for important calls when the situation warrants it?

Running Xen 3.0, guest OS does not open a window
Dear Xen community,
I have Xen 3.0 installed on RedHat Linux Enterprise RHEL4U2. "xend
install" runs fine with no error messages.
However, when I start "xm cr guest-vmx.conf" I do not get any new window
open for the new guest OS. "xm list" shows that the vmx has started and
seems to be working fine (just for testing, when I type "xterm" an X

Polycom-Asterisk hints/presence
I set up hints and presence monitoring on some Polycom phones connected
to an asterisk server with the expectation that the phones that are

How can I prevent Rails from automatically escaping HTML entities when
creating a hyperlink?
You know, link_to( ... :title => ''This is „quoted“'') returns
''This is „quoted“'' because Rails escapes the ampersands to

Is there a way I can stop/alter this behaviour so I can use these

Problem booting xen/xvm on Sun X4600 box
...around when it would start X that the whole system suddenly resets and start BIOS init again. There''s no error messages in the syslog but I get the message "A Hyper Transport sync flood error occurred on last boot" from the box after it resets.
It''s an M2 X4600 with 8 x 8220 2.8 GHz and 32Gbyte ram.
Anyone have an idea what''s going wrong?
