advanced routing for 2 internet lines
...| |
+-------------------+
Now I want it to work in the way I''ll describe now:
Basically, every ip-traffic should work over the default-route 172.16.0.1
(router 1). But ip-traffic with e.g. destination port 8123 und 8124
should work over the 2nd router(172.16.0.3).
Certain webservers, like e.g. gmx.com are should ONLY be connected over
router 2.
To do that, I "invented" following but yet not working solution to it:
ip route add default via 172.16.0.1 dev eth0
ip route add default via 172.16.0.3 d...

Netbios Browsing with 4.1.7 - Can I get some clarification on how to use "internal nbt server" (or if I am even able to)
I have been searching around - I cant seem to figure out if netbios
browsing is supposed to work or not.
# /usr/sbin/nmbd -F -S
nmbd version 4.1.7 started.

server role = 'active directory domain controller' not compatible with
running nmbd standalone.
You should start 'samba' instead, and it will control starting the

I seem to be doing Dcv wrong
...iagonal of C inverse
was negative? Then for x,y differing only in the corresponding property,
the argument of sqrt() would be negative. My mathematical skills were not
up to the task of proving that it couldn't happen, so experiment seemed
like a good idea.
First I read in the Mushroom data (8124 rows x 23 columns)
and deleted column 1 (the poisonous/edible class, to be predicted,
not clustered on) and column 17 (which has the same value in each row).
"mush" is the resulting data frame.

How to separate a data set by its factors
I have a large data set of airport data and wish to analyze it by hour
and day of the week. hour and day of the week are factors.
I can do something such as:
histogram(~(Arrival.Val) | DAY*Hour, type="count", breaks=60)
which displays the data the way I want it in principle, but the plots
are too small to read. I added layout=c(7,6,4) to the argument list, but
then I only get the first

"no space left on device" related to directory limit
Hello,
We have a 3-node cluster setup with ocfs2.
Since friday one of the nodes went down and would not become clustermember after a reboot because it was unable to write to the ocfs2 filesystem. Message: no space left on device.
There is plenty of diskspace though.
No problem whatsoever to create a file / directory on the filesystem using one of the other nodes.
Today one of the remaining

MTU and Voice Delay (latency??)
Our users are experiencing some unacceptable delay when trying to have a
conversation. The delay is so noticeable that they keep stepping on each
others words and resort to calling the customers via cell phone.
Here is the setup
SDSL Connection (PPPoA)
Speedtouch 610 SDSL Modem
3Com 2224PWR Plus Switch (phones on separate VLAN)
8 Cisco 796 Phones
All connecting to a remote Asterisk Server.
